Speaking as someone who might become the "dark horse" of regional Qld and run for mayor of some township around the immediate region before he is 50 years of age, I would have the impression that "all the free money" is about to dry up.

30+ years of "free money" to people who were neither involved in the civil rights era, nor were victims of social injustice any moreso than those born post 1965, you would see that "free money" has its limits.

I was offered an honourary membership to local tribes, because of my "on country" knowledge, modest language skills of local dialects and having "lived rough" for some of my life. Even then, I was not going to sell my heritage for a few extra hundred dollars a week in my welfare.
