I guess it depends on what and how much you ate and when?

Doing two good shits a day is MUCH better than not doing even one!

I agree Monk-- I have always wondered about the frequency of some people--some go every day and others cannot squeeze one out for an awful long time- I think that is dangerous and proves to be so as well-I have am regular but many of my aquaintances are not- I worry about that percentage- go to the doctors and stop messing with your life.

It does Sprint- any kind of movement helps in fact- even when I am bed ridden I find I don't have a problem- cos I am always in a moving state in some way.
 


Get moving don't sit still for long periods !  water also!

As you said, Lots of water and movement

I do a poo less often now I don't drink coffee, still a daily or so occurrance though

Few things are as beneficial for a person as a poo.
I've been taking psyllium husks for a while, 1 teaspoon every few days.
Cleans out intestines well, gives then a light scouring from the inside.
Apparently reduced cholesterol as well !

I  really enjoy a good  poo - its so enjoyable! Nothing better really!   Such a great feeling to let a good fat one just slide right out! aaaaahhhh!!!!!!

Having a dump once a day is usually the average. It all varies if you are feeling well, or you are feeling sick. And the type of food you eat will determine how well your bowel movements will be.

I happen to be the one with a reputation of drinking too much alcohol. Or even drinking too much soft drink. Drinks that dehydrate you will leave you feeling constipated the next day. On one of my hangovers, I felt the need to go to the toilet. But, even with my "coffee kickstart", I was not doing anything. I had about a litre of water to drink in the next hour. Oh boy! I nearly had to run to the toilet and struggled to get my dacks down and seated. I wish I had my phone with me at the time.

Chia seeds are good for fibre. I put the chia seeds in my fruit juice. My usual ritual at night is to have 2 oranges, a bowl of cereal (or porridge in winter), and then later on I wash that down with fruit juice and chia seeds. If that does not get you going the next morning, not much else will.

If you are on a diet, generally, you will probably be going 2 or 3 times a day. And you would normally have decent bowel movements on each of them. I have had times when I would go for a 10-minute "it's not stopping anytime soon" bowel movement, which leaves me exhausted at the end of it all. Then I would have to shower, because I could not trust the job I did wiping my arse 5 times over. And then perhaps an hour later, I would need to go back to the toilet and finish relieving what was still making its way to my colon.

During the pandemic, when people panic-bought toilet paper to the point of emptying the shelves, I was still with about 3 rolls of toilet paper in my house. I change the toilet roll every 4 or 5 weeks. So, I figured that I could wait out the panic buying and then get an 8-pack with no problems. I was down to my last roll (with still more than a month away from not having any toilet paper left) when I started to wonder why there was such an urgency to buy all the toilet paper. After 3 months of this covid nonsense, I would have figured that people would not need to restock. Why could people not just get a 12 pack, let that last them 3 months (for those families) and then buy a new pack when it was to run out?

I have a double espresso first thing in the morning then about 10 mins later the magic happens.

Maybe once a fortnight I'll have a morning and nooner.

yes, coffee seems to do it.
One reason I think coffee is not good.
Having a poo is good, but something that rushes one out like clockwork is not normal

A low-sugar, low-fat, high-fibre diet will have you going to the toilet a few times a day for a bowel movement. If your starving yourself for a couple hours before you eat, the post-meal dump will be quite heavy.
