yes, coffee seems to do it.
One reason I think coffee is not good.
Having a poo is good, but something that rushes one out like clockwork is not normal

The caffeine in the coffee helps rush the bowel movements.

It certainly does.
I think food usually takes 18 hours to pass through the digestive system, so for something to cause a purge within 10 --> 20 minutes is not usual or beneficial.
The body is possibly trying to purge itself of something it does not want

Normally, a morning coffee would shift my guts after about 30 minutes. I drink a large coffee for over 20 minutes. The caffeine signals the brain to get the digestion flowing better because of the stimulant. You evacuate the bowels for the likelihood that the stimulant will have you physically active soon.

Realistically, that morning poo will wait another hour or two if that breaking of the fast does not occur.

Pooing is a important part of general health and I think it should be much more educated.

Many people think that flushing is a great waste of a valuable resource.
Our waste could well be used as a fertiliser. Animals poo is used, why not ours?
Traditionally it has been used for farming purposes.

Because certain parasites in our excrement would build up using untreated nightsoil as fertiliser.

Read up on liver flukes.

If it could be composted hot then it could be done. However—medicinal and illicit drugs end up in our sewerage, etc.

The flush water can be reclaimed—some Virginia market gardens in SA use water from the Bolivar sewerage works, in Glenelg south of Virginia the water is used to water a golf course.

Psyllium husks are good for adding rough fibre, sort of gently scours lower intestines. Got to be good to give the lower rectum a cleaning.

Good to see many sensible comments.
From memory bowel cancer is about the #4 killer and easily preventable.

I could not think of the name psyllium husk, even though I had the stuff in the fridge. I was using chia seeds a month ago. But, you have to make sure that you keep the snap lock of the packet sealed. One day I used the chia seeds that had not been properly stored and snaplocked. After a consuming an odd tasting chia seeds, I was sick for the rest of the day and no good for the next.
