US moved up by 3 gold.

US is still heading for its lowest number of gold medals in the past 60 years. Since 21 gold in Rome 1960 when Australia was the top nation in swimming.

Australian gold medalists in Rome. Australian swimmers won 5 of Australia's 8 golds.
