Arithmetic does not lie; the numbers either add up or they do not. Our state of Victoria, quite apart from the mass immigration tsunami that has led to Aussies being homeless, and families having to live in tents, is falling apart. You see it in the state of the infrastructure such as the decaying roads. But there was plenty of money to spend on big projects like the North-East Link and the Suburban Rail Loop, and the massive waste of spending on bureaucrats, who soak up money by the millions, the public sector growing by 59 percent in the last 15 years, with this growth basically feeding on itself.

Thus, Victoria is projected to have $ 247.2 billion in debt by 2027, and ever rising.

Former federal Treasury official Stephen Anthony had this to say about the plight of Victoria:

""Victoria is on a suicide mission to record borrowing, just as global interest rates are about to hit 5%."

"Potholes can't get filled, emergency departments can't afford clean linen, primary schools can't fix heaters".

"Things are about to get very ugly",

A Federal bail out is possible, or the trend is continued of just selling off the state to communist China, continuing the trend of the last premier. And as well, the impact of the Covid freak-out lockdowns on Victoria's economy need to be examined under the fiscal microscope.

All nonsense. The Oz Treasury can cancel state debt which was issued to build infrastructure at anytime, it's just private money-lenders who have you and the Oz government (and Treasury) by the short and curlies.

A lot of that was added during the pandemic, to keep you alive during the lock-downs. The mistake was to count it as debt: the Oz govt. should have created the money (for free) to pay households' essential bills, to avoid selling bonds to private banksters - and racking up government debt. Note the govt paying essential bills - with free public money - in a lockdown, would not cause inflation, obviously.

The household debt is the main problem, it has to be repaid with interest. Hopefully people will remain employed over the coming year.

Victoria might have to pull funding for this 'treaty' nonsense.... sad, innit?

All they had to do was listen to the people.... maybe the Australian public as a whole should punish politicians who won't listen... 61-39 and you're OUTTA HERE!!

Now then - about all those Aboriginal kids still removed from 'families' and placed in care - as often as possible with relatives..... why is that? Because it's all lovey-dovey in the pre-1787 culture?

Jeez - the old girl tonight went at me for advocating a Homeland up western Cape York, along with a Gondwanamo Bay where they could get jobs as guards and cooks and such.... you know ... hunters so the inmates at Gondwanamo could enjoy local tucker... she reckoned giving them their own Homeland and turning them loose was racist.... dunno where she'd get that idea.....
