Another 4 years delay for rail link to the airport
May 8th, 2024 at 6:13pm

After 50 years of talking about a rail link from Melbourne CBD to the airpoort we have yet another 4 year delay !! Any why is this so ??

Because all of these crooked labor and liberal pollies all have shares in Transurban forcing everyone to pay for the toll road not to mention the biggest car park in the world at Melbourne airport which is big $$$$ for the airport.

What pieces of sh.t these pollies really are. The majority vote them in so they can govern for the minority that bankroll them Sad

Ask the chinaman to build the rail link for you. They will do an underground rail link in a few months Wink

Hi Sir Nail,
Dan left Victoria bankrupt -
they don't have the $10 billion to pay for it.

When they had the money they still wouldn't do it. Just keep talking about it at every state election Sad

We'll have to hire Chinese rickshaw drivers to make the connection.  Smiley

Back in the 1970s and early 80s the Tullamarine freeway
had a wide gap between the roads which was for a tram line
to be placed down the middle to go to the airport.
It would have been a fairly cheap job to install that:
the land was there - already allocated.

Somehow that plan got ditched and we sold off the whole lot to Transurban -
we lost that land with widened roads and the rest is history.
We still don't have any rail or tram link.

At least in Sydney when you get off the plane you can hop straight onto the train Wink

The new airport at Badgerys Creek will be finished in 2 years. That's for the western subburbs.
