Someone said we could not judge a person's Aboriginality on their skin colour.  Why isn't that applied in the matter of Pascoe?  Tsk, tsk, tsk...   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

More Aboriginal staff in senior positions, eh?  That's sure to fix it.  what's the current mix?  It is, after all a 'community church group', and not a Church run thing.  Now then, where's the funding coming from?  How are these changes considered to be ready to make a difference?  Few more bosses and family gonna fix it all up?

This one will be good to watch...

I get the feeling this is some kind of Groundhog Day thing...

i liked this

Tony Nungactha spoke to the ABC on the aged care home's front porch and reflected on his time as a stockman at Nicholson Station.

"Good life on the stock camp, mustering cattle. At night when I went to sleep I listened to the cattle," the Jaru man said.

He now enjoys excursions which remind him of his younger times in the bush.

having been to halls creek about a decade ago, it is now a place in terrible low vibration energy

you can tell you are getting near because there is literally a road with litter on the side for 5 km leading into the place.

everybody there seemed to have a glazed over look

the definition of surviving, not thriving

glad to see one old fella remember the uplifting times before canberra came and took away all the fun times

if you want to demolish people

1  tell them they are victims
2  tell them they now have to rely on you

thats what canberra did to the fine people of the kimberleys

disgraceful stuff

My experience in the healthcare sector, indigenous staff members are competent and professional.

Nobody commented on their abilities - it's their 'management' style that is most suspect - nepotism and inflated salaries and perks.

I note this lot have already been checked out and found wanting... audits, you know... now then - what is the current oversight program with this 'new management'?

Give it two years ...
