Are you purporting to be an expert on car sales, values, fd?  Are you giving advice you are willing to be sued for if you are wrong?

hi
t about car values or sales.

Gordon, in the next week, I will have for sale a 2003 Toyota Camry, automatic, 169,000 klms on the clock, with roadworthy, registered for $5750.00.

A 20 year old Camry would be worth half that.

You would be lucky to comprehensively insure it for $3k

Nope.  He's spot on with his price.

Second-hand cars are selling for crazy prices, especially Toyotas, and a Camry is one of the most reliable cars on the road.

Toyota Rav 4 is a popular one amongst P platers now too!
Funky looking car with sun roof.

Rav4s hold their resale value very well.

Not as reliable as the Corollas and Camrys, but still a very good car.

I'm going to buy firstborn jer first car.
Just a cheapie for about $25k.

Newish low km Toyota or Slightly older higher km Lexus?

My mother bought my latest car for $9,000. It is a 2009-era car that I got in the year 2013. 40,000 km on the odometer. Why anyone would spend more than $15,000 on a first car is quite beyond my understanding. Or perhaps you have a lot of money at your disposal.

If you can't figure out what to get, a VW Golf might be the best option.

I've never owned a car and I'm not going to have one.

I have heard that in the West the infrastructure is built in such a way that it is extremely difficult for a person to live without their own car, but since the Soviet Union built infrastructure focusing mainly on public transport, I can still live quite comfortably in Russia without a car.
