Putin in North Korea

Pyongyang welcomes Putin with fanfare as Russian leader makes first visit in 24 years

Wed June 19, 2024

Thousands of North Koreans chanting “welcome Putin” lined Pyongyang’s wide boulevards waving Russian and North Korean flags and bouquets of flowers Wednesday as Russian President Vladimir Putin kicked off his first visit to North Korea in 24 years.

Putin was met with exuberant fanfare for a welcome ceremony with his counterpart Kim Jong Un at Kim Il Sung Square in the heart of the North Korean capital, where mounted soldiers, military personnel and children holding balloons cheered against the backdrop of large portraits of the two leaders.

Putin and Kim presented their delegations and stood together as the Russian national anthem played before the two autocrats rode standing shoulder to shoulder in an open-top limousine as they smiled and waved to the crowds.

Putin landed in North Korea in the early hours of Wednesday local time for a rare visit, heralding Moscow’s deepening alignment with Pyongyang in the face of shared animosity toward the West and international concerns over their growing military cooperation.

Multiple governments have accused Pyongyang of supplying arms to Moscow for its grinding war in Ukraine, a charge both countries have denied, despite significant evidence of such transfers.

Russia has received more than 10,000 shipping containers –
the equivalent of 260,000 metric tons of munitions or munitions-related material

– from North Korea since September, according to a US statement in February. Russian forces have also launched at least 10 North Korea-made missiles on Ukraine since September, a US official also said in March.

Putin may need arms from North Korea’s Kim, but what is he willing to give in return?

...

Putin signaled a willingness to assist North Korea in developing its space and satellite program during their September meeting, which took place, fittingly, at a rocket launch facility.

There have since been signs that such assistance has taken place, including the successful launch of North Korea’s first military reconnaissance satellite the “Malligyong-1” weeks after the visit, following two failed attempts.

Such satellites can help North Korea improve its ground-based military capabilities, for example enabling it to more accurately target opponents’ forces with its own missiles.

United Nations member states are barred from directly or indirectly aiding North Korea’s missile programs as well as engaging in arms transfers with Pyongyang.

But Kim is also eyeing access to know-how for a range of Russian advanced weaponry, experts say, as well as technology linked to uranium enrichment, reactor designs or nuclear propulsion for submarines.

The North Korean leader sees his weapons programs as essential to the survival of his regime, according to analysts.

Summary

Kim Jong Un has said he "fully supports" Russia's invasion of Ukraine as Putin visits North Korea after 24 years

The two leaders hailed ties between their countries after they held talks following Putin's overnight arrival

Putin received a red carpet welcome, including roses, waving crowds and ceremonial gunfire at a grand military parade

The Russian president thanked Kim for inviting him to Pyongyang, and said he hopes the next meeting will take place in Moscow

The two last met in Russia in September and vowed to strengthen military ties

The US and South Korea accuse the North of supplying Russia with artillery in exchange for food and military aid

Both countries deny this but Putin is in search of allies since the invasion of Ukraine turned him into a pariah in the West

After North Korea, Putin will visit long-time ally Vietnam, where he is expected to discuss trade

"Something has changed and Putin is preparing for FULL war with NATO" says EX-CIA Agent.

Ex-CIA Agent Larry Johnson joins Redacted live to talk about Victor Orban's latest NATO warning. He says NATO is preparing for full war with Russia and building three new NATO bases to strategically provide weapons into Ukraine. Serbia's leader Vucic says war with Russia is only 3 months away.

Actually Russia is liberating Ukraine second time from Nazi occupation and now fighting for the destiny of the whole decent world.
First time from Rothschild's son Hitler and now from Khazar (Fake Semite) Zelensky.

Ukraine needs to be free from the nazi fake anti-Chinese voters in democratic Ukraine. The land belongs to V Putin, Baskov Lane, Leningrad.  He can be contacted at various palaces and nuke launch sites in Putinland.
