Just making the point that bringing Assange home had bipartisan support.

The successive US Administrations' obsession with Assange was not motivated by the pursuit of justice nor by the affording of protection to US citizens, but by revenge - An insult to the spirit of the US Constitution and its Bill of Rights.

The multiple US Administrations' obsessive heavy-leaning tactics to have Assange deported to the US, made US arse-lickers out of successive Swedish, Australian, Ecuadorian and (particularly) British governments.

What is the point of a British monarch as an Australian head of state if it is meaningless in affording protection or basic human rights to Australian citizens?

Assange was treated like a terrorist by UK governments in their attempt to prove that Britain is the US's most loyal bitch.

While I believe Assange was wrong to release some of the information he did, the US witch hunt was, like the Swedish rape charges, way over the top. In any case he has been punished enough.

https://edition.cnn.com/2024/06/24/politics/julian-assange-plea-deal-biden-admin...

The plea deal would credit that time served, allowing Assange to immediately return to Australia, his native country.

“Julian Assange is free. He left Belmarsh maximum security prison on the morning of 24 June, after having spent 1901 days there. He was granted bail by the High Court in London and was released at Stansted airport during the afternoon, where he boarded a plane and departed the UK,” WikiLeaks said a Tuesday statement.

If you call hounding an individual by super-power states 'punishment'...

The whole saga makes a mockery of the US Constitution and arse-lickers out of those governments that colluded in their peoples' name, with revenge-seeking US Administrations.

Single felony count where Assange will likely plead guilty to unlawfully obtaining and disseminating classified information relating to the national defence of the United States.

How is making public the footage of American soldiers murdering Iraqi nationals, in Iraq, a form of national defence of the United States?

Assange urgently needs to join Snowden in Russia.
Only there can he feel safe from further unjust persecution by the Anglo-Khazarian political mafia.

Do we need to be always politically correct.
In the world of universal deceit telling the truth is a revolutionary act.
