So now they have to take it seriously instead of letting them out on the street for what must be little bail Sad

Then they need to setup a remote penal colony where there are 100's of miles of water and they can't escape nor does anyone know where that colony is otherwise these pollies need to take responsibility for ruinning innocent people's lives Wink

Middle of the Simpson Desert, no motor vehicles, except short range EVs, fly in fly out.

Boy bailed over driver’s death in Burwood has gone missing

By Lachlan Abbott and Erin Pearson

July 9, 2024 — 6.17pm

A teenage boy released on bail last week after allegedly killing a motorist while driving a stolen vehicle has gone missing, police say.

On Tuesday night, police said they were searching for a 17-year-old boy involved in the fatal crash in Burwood on July 2.

“The teenager has failed to comply with his bail conditions and his current whereabouts are unknown,” police said in a statement.

The family of the Burwood crash victim – 28-year-old Ashburton man William Taylor – flew back into the country after learning of his death. Police told the court in the boy’s last children’s court appearance that the family opposed his release on bail.

“Will was a much-loved son, brother, partner and friend. He was a quiet, intelligent and thoughtful young man who loved his sport,” Taylor’s family said in a statement.

“We are heartbroken and ask our privacy is respected as we come to terms with this devastating loss.”
