Someone said we could not judge a person's Aboriginality on their skin colour.  Why isn't that applied in the matter of Pascoe?  Tsk, tsk, tsk...   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Be interesting anyway.  Give an indication of how they see many things... language does that sometimes....

Big deal.

Yeah bits & pieces .... like the use of slang in the English language...

you take bits & pieces when it suits you.

Having a few remnant words used in everyday speech  doesn't make it a language.

Most of the fluent speakers of tribal languages have passed away & languages have been lost & bastardised with English.

Yeah & I bet she actually knows SFA of it.

More likely a hotch potch of made up language.

It's interesting you would come down so hard on this topic and then make assumptions about someone waiting to pass on what they know of one of the indigenous languages to someone else.

There is no cover of "the voice" or even lies about "the voice by stealth" to fall back on here.

That's just pure hatred.

Wtf...?

Nothing to do with hatred ... that's all blokes like you have got for responses.

I know your just a gullible lefty that swallows all the BS about resurrecting lost languages but in all truth most have not been resurrected but reinvented.

As the OP suggests it's just the use certain Aboriginal words.

I would always hear certain words/phrases used as a schoolboy in FNQ in the late 60's early 70's.

Never spoken as a fluent language.

If you knew anything about the Aboriginal communities/ former Missions where different tribal & language groups peoples were placed you'd realise how languages became lost & continue to disappear.

I would like that to be true, dickhead,  but you immediately dismiss the idea from OPs post, then attempt to belittle someone offering to pass on their knowledge, for what, no reason?

You might not like being called out about it, dickhead, but if it quacks like a duck...

No worries dickhead.. you go on thinking you're a shining light of virtue calling out the bad guys & believing all the bs from the Aboriginal industry.
