Sadly, as much as I'd like to agree with you, Rudd is taking Australia's position.

Trump, rapist, criminal, and man who flirts awfully close to the line of treasonous, will soon be the President again.

And if there has ever been a better example of "self-serving" than when he's in office, I've never seen it.

He only worries about what's best for him, not the US, not their allies, him.

If Rudd, our PM or even sporting or celebrity representatives have to stroke Trump's ego then so be it.

Rudd clearly has faith that the Deep State will usurp the big fella's plans, like they did last time. He's been talking to Republicans and those in the know, but do you know?

The world's largest economy, biggest CO2 emitter and greatest military superpower becoming a dictatorship for a day is hardly something to chill about.

Rudd believes the big fella's too stupid to carry it out. Steve Bannon's in jail, Rudy's bankrupt and on bail, Sidney Powell's pleaded guilty, but there are plenty more where they came from. Project 2025's spreadsheet is full of them. Clarence Thomas has already given them carte blanch to do whatever they want.

The big fella is standing by to leave NATO and tell Vlad to invade who he likes. If I was a small European country (or Taiwan), I would hardly be chilling. Rudd's faith in the institutions is just that - faith.

The US is at risk of becoming the next Russia, led by a limitless authoritarian leader with total power, no rule of law, entrenched in endless war. Saying it's only for four years is hardly reassuring.

If I was Rudd, I'd be scrambling for a new job. Who knows? Maybe he can get that UN posting he's been lobbying for for all these years.

We will make America chill again, no?
