... I might check out the highlights from the opening ceremony on YouTube later on today.

Hmm, okay.  I might have to reconsider that.

I just heard that Celine Dion is involved.

Not good   Undecided

Oh, you no like Celine? She was on at very beginning of opening ceremony… she sang good, I was surprised to see her as I thought she had problems with her voice/throat?
Anyway… lady Gaga was boring… so just wizz past these and get to the better stuff.

Oh, I like Gaga - didn't know she was part of it.

And yes, didn't want to see Celine as I know she's not well and her voice is suffering, so I thought it might be cringeworthy.

I'll take a look around and see if there's a "best of" video on YouTube.

I’m happy to say Celine sang beautiful in French.
First time back in stage in 4 years I heard.

Okay, cool.

Is this what she sang?

I played it a few seconds and hubby looks and says “That’s Plastic Bertrand”   Grin
Can’t hide anything can I  Smiley
You will just have to watch the shorts in replay to find out what she sang  Smiley

They were all French then.

No longer.

It’s much the same world wide now.
Good old movie though.

I found one as I was looking through moulin rouge vids…

He comes from the land of Tin Tin, good chips, chocolates  and the smurfs (Belgium)

Ça plane pour moi = (Roughly translated) This works for me. (in case anyone wondered. The closest English phrase would be "I'm alright Jack"

Nobody actually says that any more, but the same genre of conceit and narcissism is very much in vogue today.
