ATLANTA, GA — In an unusual choice of wardrobe, Vice President Kamala Harris arrived to address a mostly black crowd in Atlanta wearing a do-rag and sporting a massive, golden dollar-sign necklace.

"What is up, my homies," said Harris, leading off her speech. "This is off the chain! Are you feeling me, my fellow black people?"

After showing off her new "bling" and saying hello several more times to her "homies," Harris launched into a notably altered version of her stump speech. "While Trump be in his mansion, I be out here in these streets, yo," said Harris. "I know we all chasin' that cheddar, for real. But Trump -- nah, he be straight trippin', dawg. I ain't jiggy with that. You feel me?"

According to sources in the crowd, no one was, in fact, feeling her. "What in the world is happening right now," said audience member Daryl Robinson. "I haven't understood one thing that woman has said. Oh good gracious, did she just pull out a menthol cigarette?"

At publishing time, Harris had given a kind nod to the few Indians in the crowd by ending her speech saying, "Thank you, come again."

Come come, Chi-na is dealing with Russia for its oil and gas: all those cheap fossil fuel contracts Europe pulled out of.

As ever, your DL's analysis is personality-driven and flawed. For someone who pledged to DRILL BABY DRILL, he doesn't understand the basic fundamentals of the energy market, which is based on geography and long-term contracts.

Also, Russia and Chi-na are able to do such deals because they're command-control economies with no true free markets. Your DL can't drill, the White House has no such role in the oil/gas industry. All federal administrations can do is approve exploration. The states regulate everything from there on, and the oil industry does the rest.

On exploration, Sleepy Joe issued more permits in his first two years than your DL did over his entire term in office, so there's that.

Your DL also waived an Obama ban on fracking and oil exploration in the Alaskan National Park, an environmental nightmare loathed by Alaskans. To date, no gas or oil has been extracted.

The last thing your DL gets wrong is the reasons for economic growth over his term. This was not driven by tax cuts and cheap fossil fuels, but the slow, dawdling recovery of the US economy post-GFC. The share market saw a spike from the corporate tax cut, but this was only trade in shares, not investment in infrastructure, jobs, etc, and certainly not drilling.

So I'm curious. Ever get the feeling you've been DRILLED?
