Every election, Allan Lichtman is bombarded with warnings by no-nothing bedwetters that he must change his keys.
"We've never had an old guy before (Reagan!)', 'We've never had a woman run before', 'We've never had a black guy before... so...'
He's never changed his keys and he's never been wrong.
The issue of illegal immigration has been a feature of society since the creation of the nation-state, as has seismic social change, such as slavery, the abolition of slavery, the draft, and giving women the vote.
Lichtman's keys have held up through all of it.
These are inconsequential next to an illegal immigrant invasion and race and gender wokeness where "woman" is an undefinable word.
There is no illegal invasion , wokeness just means anything the right don't like and the vast majority understand this. People not understanding the difference between sex and gender isn't much of an issue to the vast majority.
He jokes about "woman" being undefinable, but just ask them to define "woke", same problem.
For normal people, "woke" generally means being socially conscious and active in promoting equality and justice, though the term's connotations can vary widely depending on the context and perspective of the speaker.
It originally referred to being awake to social injustices and inequalities, particularly regarding race and racism.
From a right-wing perspective they argue that "wokeness" involves:
Cancel Culture: The practice of publicly shaming or ostracizing individuals or organizations for perceived wrongdoings or offensive behavior.
Identity Politics: A focus on the rights and issues of specific social groups, which some believe can lead to division rather than unity.
Political Correctness: A heightened sensitivity to language and actions, seen as stifling free speech and open debate.
Progressive Policies: Advocacy for progressive social policies, which some on the right view as unrealistic, extreme, or detrimental to traditional values.
So right out of the gate, the right are 2 of those 4 things. They love Cancel culture and they are playing nothing but Identity Politics at the moment with their attacks on Harris.
They demand "political correctness" from their critics while being anything but themselves.
So perhaps it's 3 out of 4.
Pretty sad really.
