Whilst there has been an abundance of stupid comments, i think the daftest was from some random Fox "news" commentator i saw, i think, on The Daily Show.

Something along the lines of Harris has no identifying factors with African Americans because she is Indian and Jamaican. As though bigots ask you what sort of black you are.

Well i mean, Frank probably does but he's a lunatic.

It's just kindergarten stuff.

The American concept of 'race' is as blood-simple as their belief in American freedom.

'Black' means African American to them.

In their world of DEI, those up for consideration are: women, African Americans, Hispanics and 'gender-diverse' persons.

So-called 'whites', subcontinental Asians, east/southeast Asians and Jews are not considered DEI-worthy.

Hence the Yankist notion that Harris has, somehow, gamed the DEI process because she's of subcontinental Indian ethnicity... y'know... not a real black.

She ticks the DEI box in that she's a woman, but.

Christ on a bike you spout some naive, ludicrous crap.

The simple fact of the matter is the US has regressed. Well, at least parts of it has.

Yanks are the blood-simple meatheads of the Anglosphere whose belief in the concept of 'race' pseudoscience has survived into the 21st century.

Race means black or white. Black means African-American.

Horseshit.

Why else do you think there's any question of her heritage? Yanks don't think she's 'black'.

I think you'll find most of them don't care.

But don't let that stop you judging an entire population of people on your own bias. You never have before, why start now?

Why else do you think news shows that you referred to raised the question of her 'blackness' in the first place?

There is Yankist public scepticism in her 'race credentials'.

To Yankists. subcontinental Indians as an ethnicity are not 'worthy' of DEI... They weren't enslaved in the US, so...

Why do i think Rupert Murdoch does precisely the same thing here with Sky? Spurs a minority into a frenzy. Sensationalism.

This is, obviously, not representative of the main.

Trump is relying on it, of course. He will, again, lose the popular vote irrespective of actual outcome, utterly refuting your point.

Murdoch is the 'QE2' of journalistic survival due to his raw instinct to identify the common denominator of the mob's sentiment.

Harris may be Biden's DEI pick but she ranks in the top 10 of all running mates in US elections since at least 1900, out of 40 running mates.

The Democratic party will win 2024 by a landslide and possibly a complete rout of the Republicans, regardless of whether or not Harris is a black woman DEI hire.

That's not the same as using her race to belittle her and her position, which is why you're trying to change the goal posts since another of your racist buddies is being, well, racist.

Trump fumbles his words and uses razors. Notice how he used misdirection by referring to irrelevant facts and figures during his campaign. And then when the sniper miraculously missed that big fat head, Trump thought it necessary to cut himself, to fool the hillbillies at the rally. Then, for Trump to get up and celebrate surviving -- whilst 2 people were injured and 1 had died -- it was the last straw.

Yes, orange F A T T Y had a firefighter killed for sympathy votes when he staged that bullshit assassination (and he did stage it) but what told me all I need to know about orange F A T T Y was he "sharks and batteries" speech. He is sundowning.

I listened to that speech and thought he was being so cryptic, it was obvious that he was plotting something. And to see Trump celebrate surviving a deliberate miss, whilst 2 people were injured and 1 died, it is just disgusting.

You're doing that thing again, focusing on race...

But she's right.

When men act tough, especially in leadership roles, they're applauded.

When women do it, they get called a bitch, or "it's obviously that time of the month".

It's not the same playing field.  Especially when people like you add race to the mix, because you can't combat her any other way besides pointing out things about her she cannot change, her ethnicity and that she's a woman.

The 5-second rule you teach to children should apply to politics.

And not the food on the floor one.  If you see something about someone's appearance that they cannot change in 5 seconds, you don't say anything to them about it.

If it's not something the person can change in 5 seconds, don't use it as an attack vector for you identity politics, which you claim to hate lol...

And how far will "personal responsibility' get you if you lose your job in a recession (a periodic feature of dysfunctional neoliberal free markets), and have to sell your house because of unaffordable mortgage repayments?

Well, when Trump tells his property managers not to lease units to black people, that puts them at a disadvantage.

If he stopped that racist practice, he'd be addressing black disadvantage in the US.

Simple.
