Kamala Harris needs a ‘shock and awe policy’ to succeed in election race.

Former Australian ambassador to the US Joe Hockey has urged Republicans to “stick to the issues” if they wish to defeat Kamala Harris in the upcoming US election.

United States Vice President Kamala Harris closed out the National Democratic Convention with a crucial speech to formally accept the presidential nomination.

“They can legitimately say it’s a vacuous campaign,” Mr Hockey said.

“Kamala has got to have something of substance; she’s got to have a shock and awe policy that is different to Joe Biden.”

Nothing will change the conservatives' minds.

She needs to win over the independents and make sure everyone gets off the couch (I'm looking at you, JD Vance) and votes on election day.

It's mainly about voter turnout, not changing people's minds.

But man - Kamala, Michelle and Barack all gave excellent speeches.

Three people of colour absolutely destroyed Trump - there'll be pizza a plenty sliding down the walls at Mar-a-Lago this weekend.
