America is weird.

It is quite easy to change a State constitution (eg in Kansas, a majority in one referendum) but very difficult indeed to change the Federal constitution.

Luckily, in Australia the constitution is scanty. It deals with voting rights and State rights. Most cases to the High Court are decided on precedent and legal principles.

In Australia you might be a "right wing inclined person" but in the US you'd be a pinko.

And the kicker is, fruitbat, that that imaginary woman still has more of a right to voice in that debate than you do.

Why?

Why on earth do you think she doesn't?

D'oh!
Well, she's a childless cat lady.  I have three children and no cat.

The "lady" bit should have been your clue. And that fact seriously shouldn't have needed underlining for you.

How was your pregnancy and labour, fuitbat? Gestational diabetes? Preeclampsia? Placental praevia? Accreta, increta or percreta? Or any of the other gazillion things that can go wrong and like, kill women. which you're not.

Vaginal birth or c-section. If c-section, voluntary? any complications?

What did you use for stretch marks?

Did you have morning sickness. old boy? Did you vomit everything you even thought about for months on end?

I'm sorry fruitbat, what did you do or risk?

You're barking up the wrong tree there, Mother. Deep down inside, the old boy is actually pro-choice.

He's most cunning that way. You see, to support his DL in all his handiwork, the old boy has to stick up for a few things he's always been against - in theory, anyway.

Look, to get back at the tinted races, you have to be all-in. You have to support school shootings, overturning the Constitution, attacks on the Capitol, girls dying from pregnancy complications, and so on and so forth.

The old boy, you see, is not-racist, he's up for it all.

In for a penny in for a pound, no?

You're a conservative. The big fella and his followers are fascists.

There's no broad church here. They're completely different kettles.

This is a big deal. It was a law trump got through that threw womens rights back 60 years.
A backbone of hardcore 'conservative christians' intolerance has been broken.

I think you underestimate the Conservative resolve. It took just about 50 years to overturn Roe v Wade, which in 1973 concocted a Right where there never was a Right that ever existed even before the US Constitution.

The Kansas Conservative voters may have been beaten this time, but they will never stay silent. There's always a next time....they will overcome this if they work hard against the Left....it took 50 years to send Roe to the tip.....so nothing is impossible.  Wink   ...

You are joking! Some states that put abortion rights to a referendum have had to pass laws to legalise abortion rights.

The tide is against you. People want the right to terminate a pregnancy. Especially after the many horror stories that have happened due to strict abortion bans.

No, panther would not be joking at all.
american radical extremists believe everything trump says, anything else is a conspiracy or fake.
they totally disbelieve any facts or statistics.
Couple this with paranoia and a lust for gun violence, now you get a picture of many americans

That's true, Panther. You do like your lawmakers close to home, no?

So how do you feel about a certain presidential candidate convicted under one state's laws, and curently under arrest facing charges in a second?

That's a question.

Is your question is not about Abortion & the Power to regulate them at the State level, then your question will go unanswered in this thread....

Hijacking, last I was aware of it, is frowned upon, & not permissible on these forums.
