Abortion ban is a control measure instigated by the Christian Nationalist against women.   It is not about caring for life.  If you do, then reign in gun control.

You know, if in a hypothetical world, that a group of middle class, middle aged white male have to carry a baby - due to incest or rape,  Or forced to carry a baby that is already non viable.  You can be assured, that right to abortion will be enshrined in the constitution already.

Quite a few states will vote to legalise abortion in November.

A 10yo girl in Ohio was raped and became pregnant. She had to be smuggled to another state to be aborted of her rapists baby that would really harm her body if she had to carry it to term.

Abortion is a question for the woman and her doctor.

No worries, Panther. No one's saying you have to support abortion, just be up front about it.

Don't hide your position, like the old boy, playing no-speaka, preening and playing to the stools.

Be out and proud. You support the candidate who appointed justices with the promise to overturn Roe V Wade. You support the candidate who's ruled out legislation. You support the candidate who's paid for quite a few abortions himself in his time, cynically reversed his own position to get the Bible Belt on board, and now wants to play all cute with state rights.

And that's okay. Just be open and up front.

We will make America great again, no?

Gerson Fuentes, 28, pleaded guilty and was sentenced to life in prison. However, his plea deal states he can file for parole after 25 years, according to court documents. If parole is granted, Fuentes, who is from Guatemala.

To think none of this would have happened if Fuentas had been bussed up to Martha's Vineyard with the rest.

He would have done it in Guatemala. But like here, the US needs diversity.
Diversity is strength, social cohesion is death. Bring in the 'multicultural diverse' people who don't know that rape is not ok.

This is a big deal. It was a law trump got through that threw womens rights back 60 years.
A backbone of hardcore 'conservative christians' intolerance has been broken.

Bans on abortion, in the US, have ALWAYS been about control over women, by the 'bible belt'
- and keeping them in their place, out of the workplace

IDEALOGICALLY, I am OPPOSED to abortion - but the alternative is a return to the days of back-alleys, kitchen tables, wire coat hangers and death by sepsis.

Take a few minutes ...

The man who brought abortion out of the dark

Bertram Wainer put everything on the line to take on the system.

Dr Bertram Wainer began general practice in St Kilda, a then comfortable middle-class professional, well regarded in his community and among his colleagues. He drove a Daimler and bought land by the sea and supported and loved his four children.
He had a lot to lose.

In 1968, he risked it all as a matter of conscience when police raided the 12 doctors who were providing safe but probably illegal abortions, and women had nowhere to turn but the backyard.

He found himself caring for women with sepsis, uteruses torn apart by brutal instruments, bleeding to death.

And he remembered his time as a small powerless boy; as a matter of conscience he had to take a stand for those women.

He was duty-bound to care for their medical needs and he did, and he raged at the risks women were required to run by an indifferent political process, police corruption and the active hostility of the hard men of the churches.

I'm torn on abortion myself, dear. Would I have one?

I think not. Would I vote to let others have one?

I most certainly would, but that's just me.

Other posters here import their positions from America. Whatever the big fella says goes, they say. So the big fella promises to ban abortion?

No worries, all good, whatever DL says.

So the big fella pays his gals to have abortions?

No worries, all good, such is his choice in a free country.

So the big fella tries to hide his position on abortion, says one thing, does another and promises something else that makes no sense whatsoever?

Whatever he says, they say. I'll have what he's having. Miam miam.

Yes Master.

Yeah, there's the diff, paki.  Import a Guatemalan or afghan child rapist or a Danish architect who builds you an opera house.

You must be really torn by that kind of choice.

Not at all. Like you said, it takes all kinds.

Delish Curries, jolly Pakis and hideous old cheese-snorters like you.

Makes no difference to us, we grew here.

You flew here.
