Essonne: a woman stabbed in the neck in the street after refusing the sexual advances of a stranger

A 31-year-old woman was the victim of a very violent attack on the night of Tuesday 13 to Wednesday 14 August in Savigny-sur-Orge (Essonne), Le Figaro learned from police sources. The thirty-year-old was leaving the station, served by the RER C, when she was accosted by a stranger. The latter offered her 50 euros in exchange for fellatio.

The young woman refused his advances and continued on her way. But the stranger caught up with her before pushing her and striking her twice with a box cutter in the neck. The perpetrator then fled on foot. The victim was taken to hospital and operated on urgently. Miraculously, her life was not in danger.

The suspect was arrested a few moments later by police officers from the anti-crime squad (BAC) on patrol near the station. Drunk at the time of the incident, he was taken into custody. According to our information, he is a 45-year-old man born in Morocco. He had already been convicted twice for theft and violence, the Evry prosecutor's office told Le Figaro . A judicial investigation was opened this Friday, August 16, on the charge of attempted murder, the public prosecutor's office told us.
