Aug 28th, 2024 at 9:42pm

The winds have been whistling and roaring for 2 days now:

Aug 28, 2024

DEVELOPING:
When the wild winds arrived this afternoon,
SES crews were still dealing with damage from an overnight onslaught.

Hundreds of trees fell across Melbourne with south-eastern suburbs hardest hit.

The winds were fierce - they went to 130km/hr in the Dandenong ranges -  hills near Melbourne.

Not with you. Not with that attitude about politicians or other members.

Wow I couldn't sleep properly as the wind was so loud.
It reached 80km/hr gusts not far from me.
It sounded like a lot more than that.

I have never heard such loud, strong wind in my life before.
It was whistling and howling.
This has gone on for over 4 days now.

Bobby, fill your pockets with coins as ballast if going outdoors.
