Although Tony Schwartz, the Art of the Deal ghostwriter, observed that Trump seemed disinterested in his children, it has to be said that all his kids seem united in support of their father—starkly different from some of his second-order relatives—nephews and nieces.

I am intuiting that he has a close and genuine relationship with his son, Barron - who may be on the autistic spectrum (yet to be confirmed).

Maybe Trump, who apparently saw much of himself in Richard Nixon, has a true sense of identity with the outsider.

Maybe that's what is being subconsciously transmitted to his base and those struggling - financially, socially or identity.

It's the only explanation I can see that has enabled his public survival despite scandal after scandal that would have more than sunk and buried 'lesser' public figures.

Schindler was self-interested, self-absorbed, had a voracious appetite for money, was flagrantly unfaithful to his wife to the point of humiliating her by introducing her to his girlfriends, had a criminal mindset, admired crooks, became an early member of the Nazi Party, adopted its ideology, worked for the Nazi Abwehr, revelled in getting away with making money illegally... and on and on...

The one thing all the Schindler Jews do agree on is that he did not harbour any sense of contempt for any ethnicity or underclass - he genuinely had a heart for those who suffered and revelled in being their saviour.
