I hope so the attack on Hunter is 100% political.

Either that of lock up Trump and half the republican caucus for committing the exact same gun related crimes.

How about this.

If Harris wins:

Biden pardons Harris for future offenses.

Harris pardons Joe Biden and Hunter Biden.

GOP and MAGA mob start an uprising.

Sounds kool, Laugh, but the Supreme Court's already said presidents can do what they want.

Actually, they might have just meant the 45th president, I'm not sure, but can I ask you a question?

You want to see Sleepy Joe and Karmala arrested and put on trial, yes?

Fair enough. But if Mr Trump was found to have committed a crime, would you like to see him put on trial as well?

Cheers.

The so-called "law and order" crowd is bracing for the inevitable: Trump attempting to pardon himself if he wins. To soften the blow, they’re already planting the narrative that Biden or Harris will definitely pardon Hunter. It's evidence given that none of the poll options include them not pardoning him as an option.

It’s a preemptive strike, an effort to downplay the fallout when Trump, inevitably, tries to pardon himself or the January 6th insurrectionists.

But here's the catch - he has to win first.

If he loses, and Biden or Harris don’t pardon Hunter, it’ll expose the truth: they’re actually the ones standing for law and order.

Of course, the spin machine will kick into gear, and we’ll hear conspiracy theories about “shadow pardons” or other absurd fabrications to maintain the illusion that Trump is tough on crime.

All this while crime statistics under Biden and Harris are far better, and Trump - a convicted felon - is openly pledging to pardon those who’ve committed crimes for him, including himself.

The hypocrisy is breathtaking.

Big deal.

It's nothing like when Trump pardoned Charles Kushner (his daughters' father-in-law) for pleaded guilty to 16 counts of assisting in the filing of false tax returns, one count of retaliating against a cooperating witness and one count of making false statements to the FEC (for which he plead guilty and was sentenced to two years in prison) back in the last days of his Presidency in 2020. Kushner admitted that he paid a private investigator $25,000 to arrange for the seduction and videotaping of the cooperating witness' husband. Kushner admitted to personally recruiting the prostitute and instructing that the videotape be mailed to the cooperating witness. Kushner admitted then that, as chairman of Kushner Companies, he assisted in filing false tax returns claiming over $1 million in partnership charitable contributions as office expenses, causing losses to the IRS of between $200,000 and $325,000.

Oh, and now he's nominated Charles Kushner to serve as the next US ambassador to France! Yeah, we can all see how much Trump is all about law and order - NOT! This man, who Trump wants to serve as an Ambassador, hired a prostitute to lure his brother-in-law (after learning he was cooperating with federal authorities), then arranged to have the encounter in a New Jersey motel room recorded with a hidden camera and the recording sent to his own sister, the man’s wife. Unfortunately for Charles Kushner, the scheme didn’t work, he plead guilty and he was jailed.

Lets not forget that Trump is going to use his own people in the Justice Department to now try to stop investigations and prosecutions into him and his allies, likely issuing pardons also to those who took part in the attempted coup of January 6. So spare me the fake outrage at Biden pardoning his son. It's nothing compared to the corrupt and immoral conduct Trump is about to embark upon.

Good

The charges against Hunter were all political. There was nothing legitimate in the charges.

Trump is guilty of exactly the same thing. No charges there.

Crooked Joe.

Joe Biden is a crook -
he promised he wouldn't pardon his son before the election
and now he pardons him after the election.

You couldn't make this nonsense up.

WTF?

https://edition.cnn.com/2024/12/01/politics/hunter-biden-joe-biden-pardon/index....

The pardon covers any potential federal crimes that Hunter Biden committed “from January 1, 2014 through December 1, 2024,” which, importantly, covers his entire tenure on the board of Ukrainian gas company Burisma. He had faced scrutiny for his controversial foreign business dealings, and Trump has repeatedly said he should be prosecuted for his activities in Ukraine.

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cjwl3venz39o

Hunter Biden pleaded guilty to nine counts of federal tax fraud in September, for which he had been facing up to 17 years in prison.

He was also convicted of three felonies in connection with a gun purchase in June, for which he had been facing up to 25 years in prison.

Sentencing for these cases had been scheduled for 12 and 16 December.

His legal troubles had been a dark cloud over his father's presidential campaign, which came to an end in July after Biden pulled out of the election race.
