Biden stood down for the sake of his party and the country. He put other needs before his own.

You can be sure he didn't stand down voluntarily.

Biden himself hinted at this when he commented in his stepping-down speech, "I believe my record as president, my leadership in the world, my vision for America's future, all merited a second term".

The Democrats' mega-donors had him stood down, or they'd pull their funding.

If it was his choice it was only because he didn't have one.

It's terrible what they did to him, but at the end of the day, after the debate we just saw, I think even he would accept that it was the right thing to do.

A second Trump, having him be the leader of the free world at a time like this, it would be the worse possible outcome, for all of us, not just those within the US.

There should be a congressional inquiry into the cover-up of Biden's incapacity to be president. The 25th Amendment was intended to deal with this issue.

Yeah, that's why Bidden was defenestrated  after his debate performance by his until-then adoring cheer squad.

Your powers of observation and analysis are like Bbwiyawn's and Smith's,  Ducky's and TGD's.

You keep bringing this up as though you have a point.

Biden stood down for the sake of his party and the country. He put other needs before his own.

Trump?

Speaking of Joe Biden, Trump asked on stage before millions of people, “Where is our President?”

“We have a president that doesn't know he's alive,” he declared as he mentioned the Democrats “threw him out of a campaign like a dog.”

Kamala’s closing statements fell flat as she made the pitch to the American people that voting for her is voting for “a new way forward.”

Except there’s one harsh reality: she's literally been in power for 3.5 years.

Trump aced it.

https://www.bbc.com/news/live/c9wjn8py59jt

Trump criticised Harris's record on immigration and the border, and also her shifting policy positions -
Harris blamed him for "Trump abortion bans" and for the 6 January attacks on the US Capitol

Snap polls suggest Harris won the debate, but Trump says afterwards that she "lost very badly"

'All I do is tell the truth': Trump speaks to media post-debate
published at 07:02 British Summer Time

07:02 BST

As our North America editor Sarah Smith just reported, Donald Trump spoke to the media after the 90-minute debate ended.

Watch below for his thoughts on the moderators, a second debate, and if migrants are eating dogs in Springfield, Ohio, as he claimed.

He sh@t the whole thing out of his arse.

It wasn't about winning. It was about showing 50,000 white-trash in 6 states that, in America, even a dumb c~nt can be rich and run for president.

That's what his speeches have always been about.

Not Obamaesque oratory masterpieces... More like the banter of redneck hillbillies on the piss.

Yes.

He admitted several times that Joe Biden is the President.

i.e. he admitted that he lost in 2020.

It was a complete disaster for Trump - Kamala spanked his ass better than a porn star with a Forbes magazine.

The old man is all washed up.

Stick a fork in his fat orange ass - he's done!

You realise "aced it" means he made no mistakes, he had a perfect score.

Did you not watch the debate?

He clearly didn't ace it.

And there's still another 2 months left of Biden's presidency.

The same thing happened with Reagan but, lucky for the Republicans, it became confirmed public knowledge only after his presidency had ended.

"The President of the United States, you'll get him out of bed. You'll wake him up at 4:00 in the afternoon, you'll say come on. Come on down to the office,"

Four months.

Harris takes over in January.

Cheesy
You are full of ignorant, vacant ... er... sadness.  Huh Huh

CNN  — Russian President Vladimir Putin raised eyebrows Thursday when he expressed his support for US Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential bid, flattering the Democratic nominee with some curiously timed remarks.

“Our ‘favorite,’ if you can call it that, was the current president, Mr. [Joe] Biden. But he was removed from the race, and he recommended all his supporters to support Ms. Harris. Well, we will do so – we will support her,” Putin said Thursday at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok. “She laughs so expressively and infectiously that it means that she is doing well.”

Putin also criticized former president and current Republican nominee Donald Trump for placing “so many restrictions and sanctions against Russia like no other president has ever introduced before him.”
