Taylor Swift drives 400,000 people to voter registration site in less than 24 hours

Taylor Swift’s Instagram call for voter registration drove more than 400,000 visitors to the vote.gov website in under 24 hours.

The pop superstar, 34, posted a custom URL to her Instagram Stories shortly after endorsing Kamala Harris in November’s upcoming presidential election.

In a statement to Variety the General Services Administration, which runs the vote.gov site, said they received 405,999 visitors referred directly from the link the singer posted.

In the week prior, the site had averaged around 30,000 visitors per day.

Oh, that's gonna get right under his thin orange skin   Smiley

Maybe Hulk Hogan can sing him a soothing song?

Or Joseph Gordon-Levitt, maybe.

In this key!

This is karma, trump bought Taylor into the equation as he lied and stole from her.

Quote:
.........  Mr Trump seems to have annoyed her by posting fake, AI-generated images on his social media platform, Truth Social, which suggested she’d urged her followers to support him.

“Recently I was made aware that AI of ‘me’ falsely endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential run was posted to his site,” Swift said in her endorsement of Ms Harris.

“It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation. It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter.

“The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth.”        ...........

..........  “We admire Taylor Swift’s music. But I don’t think most Americans, whether they like her music, or are fans of hers or not, are going to be influenced by a billionaire celebrity who I think is fundamentally disconnected from the interests and problems of most people,” Mr Vance said.      .........

No, Mr Vance, you are wrong.
Taylor Swift is very influential. Proof is the 400,000 people who registered to vote using her link.
No, Mr Vance, you are wrong again.
Taylor Swift is very connected with her many fans. Proof is the sales and audiences.

Also, She is very mature emotionally and an amazing person by all regards.

Exactly.  I thought Frank held the trophy for biggest own goal of the century, but it looks like that's Trump.

Taylor Swift is unlikely to sway the votes of anyone who is politically but what she will do is bring a massive new base of voters with her push for people to get involved and how they can register to vote in each state.

That is what will really hurt Trump.

Very influential indeed.

And doesn't this remind you of someone:

"a billionaire celebrity who I think is fundamentally disconnected from the interests and problems of most people"

Now, who does that sound like?   Undecided
