There are countless reasons many don't have savings amassed - social and economic policies over the past fifty years or so have ruined it for many to benefit the few by Accredited Victimhood Group Status - and it's still going on...... and on ..... and on ..... and on......

Short List:-

Sheilas
Blacks
Ethnics
Poofs

White hetero men need not apply - why - back in 2012, 72% of men retired with only pension compared to 66% or so of women... such disadvantage after a sheltered life, even back then. Then when he retired at 65 - they overfed him and his heart gave out at 67, so they inherited the mansion paid for and sold it to move to somewhere with beachfront at half the price and money in the bank the old man only ever dreamed of.

Now they play pokies at $5 a shot .... trips to Alaska and such....

It's a tough life this disadvantage....

you really are setting the bar very low if you are thinking you might end up in a nursing home

surely you are developing strong bonds with your children, your siblings?

surely you have been helping them on the narrow raod to success and they will look after you in your last year?

surely you are hitting the gym and eating a clean diet so you remain in good health till well into your 80's?

surely if you are so clapped out that you need some nurse to wipe your arse, you would veiw that as totally undignified and you would apply for VAD?

People like aquascoot apparently don't care how many Australians die in aged care if they're no longer contributing to the economy by working, paying tax, shopping and spending.
