Bareface, deranged Democrat lies
Consider just a couple of examples. In the debate, Harris claimed that Trump had said that if the presidential election went against him, there would be a “bloodbath”.
There was last time. 6 people died because Trump refused to accept the election result.
Quote:Any normal person hearing this would assume Harris was telling the truth and that Trump had threatened bloodshed and killings if he lost the election. In fact Trump said there would be a bloodbath in the auto industry if the Democratic candidate were elected president, partly because of electric vehicle mandates.
So Harris is not only telling a barefaced lie about Trump, she is telling the kind of lie that elevates Trump from the ranks of a bombastic and complicated politician to a kind of Adolf Hitler-like threat to American democracy itself.
Again, there was last time he lost and refused to accept the result. He's already saying it's rigged now...
Quote:Indeed, the Democratic National Convention heard that Trump was the greatest threat to US democracy in its history.
Again, he's already saying it's rigged. He's trying to make it hard for elligable voters to cast their vote.
The last time he lost, he incited a riot on the capitol that lead to 6 people dying, to try and prevent the democratic vote confirming Biden as the next president.
Literal textbook definition of a threat to democracy.
Quote:Harris also claimed in the debate that Trump had described neo-Nazi demonstrators in Charlottesville as “very fine people”.
He did. Fact.
Quote:In fact, Trump explicitly condemned the neo-Nazis but said that on both sides of the demonstrations – related to controversy over statues of Civil War era leaders in the south – there were very fine people.
Donald Trump's "very fine people on both sides" comment came in the context of the violent events in Charlottesville, Virginia, on August 11-12, 2017.
The situation escalated when white supremacist and neo-Nazi groups, including the Ku Klux Klan, held a "Unite the Right" rally to protest the removal of a statue of Confederate General Robert E. Lee. Counter-protesters, including civil rights groups, clashed with the rally participants, leading to violence and the tragic death of a counter-protester, Heather Heyer.
In a press conference on August 15, 2017, Trump said:
"You had some very bad people in that group, but you also had people that were very fine people, on both sides... You had people in that group that were there to protest the taking down of, to them, a very, very important statue and the renaming of a park from Robert E. Lee to another name."
So he did describe neo-Nazi demonstrators in Charlottesville as “very fine people”.
Quote:Again, in this claim Harris has dishonestly alleged that Trump supports neo-Nazis. Trump does many dishonourable things that rightly deserve criticism. He has not, however, as Harris claims, supported neo-Nazis, or called for mass killings if he should lose the election. So these wild and untrue allegations about Trump contribute to a fever pitch of hostility, anger and public derangement.
He merely amplifies their talking points on a national stage, presenting them as truths despite the absence of any supporting evidence.

The Australian attempts to portray Trump as a victim of Democratic falsehoods, yet Harris has simply referenced his own actions and statements.
If you have an issue with this, the fault lies with Trump himself, not with those who hold him to account.
If you do want to take this up with Trump, it is worth noting that such accountability should not take the extreme forms recently exhibited by some of his former supporters.
