The 12-year-old SAFA, Elon Musk, before the adults got back into the room, put out a post implying there should be an assassination attempt against Biden or Harris.

He deleted it when the grown-ups told him what he was implying.

Why can't he just focus on getting himself to Mars?

So, it turns out it wasn't an assassination attempt at all.

The guy never fired a single round, and he's only been charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm and possessing a firearm with an obliterated serial number.

Assassination attempts on Trump = 3
On Biden /  Harris = 0

What's the 'polite' way of pointing out the obvious without the Dem luvvies saying that it implies any kind of invitation to assassination?

Please advise and regards.

US Federal law criminalises any speech that promotes, calls for, or implies advocation for, a political assassination.

Assassination attempts on Trump = 3

Assassination attempts on Trump = 1

Result = paper cut to the ear.

That'll do for a start... The argument for charging him with an assassination attempt will be on the boil...

Why should attempted assassination require the firing of a gun and missing? Preparing for an assassination is attempting to assassinate.

No, this was not an assassination attempt in the strictest sense, though it certainly could have been, had intervention not occurred. While the distinctions are crucial to note, one must question how much they truly matter in the grander scheme.

The fact that he was stopped is a relief, leaving us to speculate on the potential outcome had he not been intercepted. However, it is alarming that an individual with his history was able to cross state lines, use an out-of-state ID, and purchase body armor and a high-powered firearm with apparent ease. This highlights systemic failures in the regulation of firearms and body armor acquisition, yet it remains unclear if any substantial changes will follow.

Unfortunately, this incident is likely to be subsumed into the broader political narrative. Trump and his supporters will almost certainly attempt to use this event to galvanise support, as they have in the past. However, the current climate may no longer be as receptive to such tactics.

What is particularly troubling is Trump’s unwillingness to moderate his rhetoric, which operates on two fronts. It not only escalates hostilities and deepens societal divisions, but it also creates a paradox: when his opponents cite his words to illustrate the dangers of such discourse, they are then accused of inflaming tensions themselves. This dynamic perpetuates a cycle of conflict that leaves little room for constructive dialogue or resolution.

Which is exactly what he and his supporters want.

I'd bet Musk was contacted by the FBI about his posts.

They'd have to put it in terms that a 12-year-old would comprehend... something like - if he didn't delete those posts, they'd take away his rockets and ground him for a year.

The obvious?

Two of the three individuals were former Republicans, so disillusioned by Trump’s performance in office that they changed their political allegiance. However, they continued to embrace the deeply ingrained "take back our country" mentality, invoking the Second Amendment, an idea that Trump himself has been actively promoting among his supporters. Ironically, they now perceive Trump as the embodiment of the very tyranny they once opposed.

What you're pointing out is not quite the triumph you seem to believe it is.

Yet another own goal.

How long does it take you to cut a turd?

Attempted assassination includes preparing for one, not just firing and missing.

So his charges prove what, another conspiracy I suppose?

Even when people agree with you it is an unacceptable extremist action, you still cry.

Boo hoo.

Who's crying?

You spend too much time trying to impress yourself with long rants.

Who said he was preparing to assassinate ... anyone?

Has he confessed to this?

Has he been charged with that?

All we have at the moment is a guy with a gun within 300mtrs of the rapist.

In many states of the US the rapist would be within 300mtrs of a guy with a gun almost 24 hours a day.

Lots of Americans carry guns, in case you haven't noticed.

And they continue to do so thanks to the rapist.
