The Republican gun owner hasn't been charged with attempting to assassinate the rapist.

It would be hard to get a charge like that to stick, seeing as he didn't fire a single shot.

It does appear that the Republican gun owner on the golf course was plotting to assassinate the rapist though.

However, he hasn't been charged with that either.

He's only been charged with firearm offences.
