It's the same reality regarding most new technologies and markets. Initial lack of regulation and over-sight making it a " Wild West" scenario until the world catches up. It's happening with AI even as we speak. Regulated markets were once unregulated new ideas and creations.
Crypto is no different.

Tell that to the saps who lost their shirts.

We're not talking some innovative technology here, Goose, we're talking line items on a block chain. Crypto serves no social good at all.

Ever get the feeling?

Ripping people off isn't knew unfortunately. It's crap and I hate it as much as the next person. None of that changes the reality regarding Crypto existence and IMHO, continued existence. So far I've been right about it (I've predicted it's growth and continuance since I first saw the WEF promoting it in 2011). It's not going away.

Cryto serves speculators, who "buy low and sell high" and it also serves the interests of illegal traders. It serves the interests of server pirates.

Ie bad people in greater or lesser degree.

Just so, Aurora. Capitalism per se is not the problem. It's monopoly capitalism and speculators.

With decent state intervention, capitalism can be regulated for the greater good.

The whole point of crypto is to evade this.
