Yes Frank,
it looks to me like Israel will have to invade Southern Lebanon to stop the rockets.

Nah, bobby.

All Israel needs to do is to declare,        ....that Beruit must be evacuated,
of all civilians.

i.e.
Publicly inform the Lebanese government that......

If Hezbollah intends to continue, to launch rockets into [civilian areas in] Israel,
then the Lebanese government will need to evacuate Beirut.

ALL OF IT.

Because Israel intends, to continue, to target EVERY legitimate Hezbollah target in Beirut,
which Israel is able to identify.

EVERY legitimate Hezbollah target, in Beirut.

So, the advice to the Lebanese government, is, either 'reign in' Hezbollah,
OR,
we intend to level   EVERY   Hezbollah target in Beirut.

bobby,

That would be 'inconvenient' for Lebanon, wouldn't it ?
......if the Lebanese government had to evacuate ALL CIVILIANS from Beirut ?

Well, Hezbollah         are CHOOSING,       to continue, to launch their rockets into [civilian areas in] Israel.

Dear Yadda,
stick with actual news rather than speculation:

https://www.bbc.com/news/live/c981g8mrl8lt

Israel says it has carried out a new strike on Dahieh, Hezbollah's stronghold in southern Beirut

It comes a day after Israel announced that it killed the Hezbollah leader, Hassan Nasrallah, in the same part of the city

Hezbollah now says another commander was killed in the same strikes - Ali Karaki, leader of its southern front

And earlier, the IDF says it killed a key Hezbollah official, Nabil Qaouk, on Saturday

On Sunday morning, Israel said it hit "dozens" more Hezbollah targets overnight; Lebanese media said at least 15 people were killed

Sorry bobby,

But i like to explore.......speculative options and scenarios.

Wink

scenario = =
1 a written outline of a film, novel, or stage work giving details of the plot and individual scenes.              a setting, in particular for a work of art or literature.
2 a postulated sequence or development of events.

We must explore all options, bobby.

It is 'the human condition' which compels us to do so.       Wink

Hezb'allah wants to step up and turn Lebanon into the next Gaza.
And if the Lebanese are stupid enough to let them,  then let them.
If Jew hatred,  Islamo-fanaticism and the live of martyrdom for Allah  is more compelling for them than peace, prosperity and coexistence, let them have it with both barrels.

But in this case Israel is not fighting a powerful enemy like Egypt
as in the 1967 and 1973 wars that had 1000s of tanks and 100s of aircraft in a powerful air force -
with 100s of 1000s of well armed troops ready to over run Israel -
they are fighting a failed state - a poor country with some of the poorest people in the Middle East.

Israel needs to show some mercy for the innocent, defenceless civilians
not just hit them with space age weapons supplied by the USA.

Civilians were warned well in advance to remove themselves from the locality of Hezbollard's installations and especially rocket firing points.  So - what caused them to remain in bomb's way?

Well - they sure whupped his ass.

'Lebanon's military decided to repair as much of its equipment as it could after the 1990 civil war. The United States remains a key partner for Lebanon. About 85% of the LAF's equipment is US-made, with the remaining being UK, French, and Soviet-made'.
Hezbollah is the de facto government and belongs to Iran.

This makes an interesting US-Iran combination.

Hezb'allah and Hamas and all the 'civilians' who for decades enabled, sustained and supported them showed no mercy.

Why Do useful idiots like you, Bobby, only EVER talk of mercy when Israel hits BACK?
Do explain.

Don't call me an idiot.

OK - so are there any limits to Israeli actions?
How many innocent people are they allowed to kill and
how much of a city should they be allowed to blow up to
kill one old man with a grey beard?

Perhaps Israel should be allowed to nuke Beirut - a whole city - and kill everyone just to get one man?
Ohh they killed him and also many of his terror team - that was a bonus I suppose?

So that's like the relationship between the Albo Government and Australians.
Interesting.

Why have you never asked this of Hamas, Hezb'allah, Islamic Jihad, Iran, Syria, the Hootin' Houtis etc??
How many people are THEY allowed to kill before it's OK with you to fight back?

Good you asked - the answer is - not one innocent person should be killed by anyone.

Israel should be showing they are morally better than the terrorists.

Wow - now Israel is giving Yemen some justice too:

Dozens of Israeli planes strike port, power plants in Yemen after Houthi missile attacks

Day after Houthis claim missile targeted PM’s plane at Ben Gurion Airport, IAF hits Hodeidah, Ras Isa port, where Iran-backed group said to receive arms, oil; Houthis say 4 killed

By Emanuel Fabian

The Israeli Air Force launched airstrikes Sunday against infrastructure in western Yemen that the military said was used by the Houthis, in a response to recent ballistic missile attacks on the Jewish state carried out by the Iran-backed group.

It was only the second-ever Israeli strike in Yemen, after in July, the IAF conducted an attack on Yemen’s Hodeidah port after a drone hit Tel Aviv, killing a man in his apartment.

Four people were killed and 29 wounded in the attack,

the Houthi-run health ministry said in a statement.

The strike in Yemen on Sunday was more extensive than the one in July. It also came as the IAF had struck targets in Lebanon, the Gaza Strip, and allegedly in Syria during the day, amid a multifront war.

On Saturday, a missile fired by the Houthis at central Israel was shot down without causing injuries. The terror group said it was aimed at Ben Gurion Airport, where Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s plane had just landed, bringing him home from New York.
