Time for secession from centralised states
Sep 22nd, 2024 at 2:38pm

Historical reference:-

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proposals_for_new_Australian_states

Blurb:-

We all know that the current states - apart from Darkened Victoria and Tas Mania are too large, too unwieldy, and too controlled by an overly centralised in big cities government with no real idea outside their bubble, thus creating en environment where services outside the major population centres (future slum zones etc) and provision of real decision is blighted by the inability of the centralised government to even begin to see the issues 'out there'.

As a start I figure Queensland could become  twelve states instead of one....

SEQUOIA
(South East Queensland Only Idiots Abide)
O'REILLY FREE STATE
SQUAMOUSARIA
MELANOMA
SOUTH CARCINOMO
NORTH CARCINOMA
MOSQUITO COAST
MALARIA
ABORASIA
(Homeland with access for others - a 'state' containing Aborassic Park if necessary)
WEST MALARIA
FARCANQUE
(Far Central And North Queensland)
PHARLAPLAND

What think ye of this for a beginning, good people?

Oh, well - looks like nobody's got the balls to call for secession from those centre sewerage sumps called state capitals that suck everyone dry and come up with latte` fantasies about social issues they know nothing of...

Would the State of Squamousaria cede control of Fraser Island to some bunch of layabouts the way Brisdrain wants to?  You're all paying those dicks in Brisdrain to do these things to you and yours.  TF is the matter with you all?

Would the State of New Snorth up top of NSW East Coast continue to close off Mt Warning to suit a pack of whingers and ne'er-do-wells?

Would the state of Newhunter put up with all that gas pipelining into ships so they pay top dollar to watch it flow out?

Would the State of New England stop that gold mine... allow all those huge land claims?

we should do away with states altogether. ... we only need regional and federal .... everything else is an excuse for those two not to do their jobs.

Let the states primarily self-fund - that'll drive Aborasia to the wall rickety-tick.

Balkanise government in Queensland - stop the oppression of the south eastern corner in its madness - they be's eddicated Queenslunders down thar..... they knows best how to dole out the land claims and such... easy to get approval - just stack the bodies concerned with Abo Luvvahs and other social science vandals and criminals.

Better to secede and create a number of smaller and more manageable states that will work more closely with the desires of their people ....  Just combine the local councils under one banner in the new state - that's why the lines are drawn along local government area lines.... capisce?

Plebiscite to the people to see which state they prefer to be in.... Aborasia will be pretty poor unless we give it Gondwanamo Bay and the jobs that go with it, guards and hunting parties with dogs for escapees who can avoid the crocs and snakes etc - but that's slotted for an island south of Norfolk Island... they might need to build a theme park or something... hmmmm .....

Brisdrain sucks all the life out of Queenlund... Ho Chi Minns City sucks the life out of NSW - stand up and stand alone, you weak dorks!!  Secede now before the rush!!

Stupid idea - we'd have 10 times more public servants to pay.

We have too many already.      Roll Eyes

Nah - smaller states and fewer bureaucrats.  At least you might get the services you pay for instead of this rot of consolidated revenue going into Taj Mahals for yet another 'commission' for checking on recalcitrant paper clips or similar.... how much money goes into running the central government of a state - money that could be out there solving issues.

93 seats in the Queenslund general assembly.... gone.... local reps - they'd need fewer in Brisdrain, and only a few in the smaller New States. Amalgamate the councils into the New States and combine resources... one El Presidente ... a dozen councillors and a few Senators to the Fed.

'Stanthorpe Apple and Grape Harvest Festival facebook.
We are still trying to track down some previous Apple & Grape Festival Queens. Do you know how to get in touch with the following people?'

Mr TF Grappler would like some quick secession with you.
