I wouldn't buy a car with a sunroof.

The seals wear out they leak car rusts from inside out.

People with flatulence. Anus gas is lighter than air.

Sunroofs allow a hot car to be cooled quicker because hot air rises.

Large dogs love them.

It is also beneficial for those that like fresh air but don't want it whistling through the windows.

Sunroofs are also less disruptive of aircon than open windows are.

and, the final reason:

It causes envy in people like Aussie, Bvr, and their ilk.

Dunno.  Not me.

I remember they were a very popular modification back in the late '70s/early '80s.

There were specialist fitters everywhere.

They're not called
SUN
roofs anymore.
For well over a decade now. Dealerships have them as
MOON
ROOFS.

...all because of some neurotic legality scamming woman got 'sunburnt' via one in her vehicle and as we know in the fake-political and fake-legality nation known as the USA. She got a big pay-out by their MONEY courts.

I wonder if Lisa would claim such a scam for getting sunburnt while driving her so-called rich person's convertible?>

In Queensland, more sun is undesired.
I've seen people with sun roofs at the lights, squeezing over to one side to get out of the sun

Have the solar panel act as a generator to power the secondary airconditioning unit in the car, whilst your car is turned off. That way, people can get into their cars that are cool and freshly airconditioned, without running down the battery of their car.

Tinted windows. Let the secondary (rear) airconditioning unit generate power from the solar panel "sun roof".
