Hezbollah under Australian law is a listed terrorist organisation. Now if the ABC doesn't support that they should be very clear about it because I think that's quite a departure.

The scandal is set to engulf the public broadcaster in fresh controversy just days after ABC Chair Kim Williams warned young journalists against taking activist viewpoints on stories.

"And I’m sure that any of the editors in the room would readily confirm what I am saying.

Hezbollah’s External Security Organisation was officially designated as a terrorist organisation by the Australian government during the Howard administration.

The United States and European Union have both also deemed the armed wing of Hezbollah as a terrorist organisation.

Hezbollah has engaged in various terrorist activities, including abductions, suicide bombings, car bombings, political assassinations and rocket attacks.

Iran has been funded most of Hezbollah’s activities, while the group also receives funding from criminal enterprises and Lebanese diaspora. 

Additionally, Hezbollah has been implicated in planning terrorist operations and providing support to other terror groups, including assistance to Palestinian Islamic Jihad and Hamas.

They clearly need performance management.

The ABC said an exchange between a female reporter and Peter Dutton was “not a piece of reporting” or a position taken by the ABC after she asked him to explain why Hezbollah was a terrorist organisation and Israeli flags were not banned.

So is the ABC going too explain it’s actions to correct her appalling behaviour?
She identified as a ABC reporter, they have a duty of care to counsel her!

"Nelson Mandela, whose name wasn’t removed from US terrorist lists until just a few days before his 90th birthday in 2013, shortly before his death. The USA had added Mandela and his organization, the African National Congress (ANC), to the lists during the 1980’s. In the intervening period apartheid was abolished, Mandela was democratically elected president of South Africa and went on to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

Double standards.

Many Jews are revolted by what is being done in the name of Israel by thugs like Netanyahu, who is exploiting the increased support leaders get when  they wage war.

A home for Jews should never have been created by the  UN's partition of Palestine - the cause of Muslim terrorism in the modern era - unless the UN could enforce international law (in this case, UN res 181).

Just shows the trouble you can get into with ideologues like Dutton.

Islamic terrorism  with regard to Israel is a reaction to the UN's  partition of the former Muslim-held Palestine Mandate land.

Even the ABC's reporters don't understand the causes of this "terrorism".

It "came to be"  by a UN vote to partition the  Palestine Mandate land. See UN res 181.

The UN should have enforced that resolution, by laying down the law  to trouble-makers on either side.

Or rather, Israel should NOT have been recognized by the UN, until the provisions  of UN res. 181 could be securely implemented.

Normal programming at the ABC means a smorgasbord of ill-informed, unquestioning stories about bad men (toxic masculinity) and poor women (gender pay gaps). The $1bn-plus annual direct transfer from taxpayers to the ABC doesn’t stretch to employing a single contrarian journalist to question this constant diet of sanctimonious lectures at the ABC.

The overpaid geniuses at the ABC could do worse than listen to a few Rogan podcasts. If Rogan is “appalling” – as Williams claims (though he says he’s not a listener) – put it down to an equal and opposite reaction to a puritanical decade that preceded Rogan’s rise to fame and fortune. The ABC’s business model of po-faced institutionalised taking of offence is dying.
