Good points, but this is why I think you are wrong re Trump and Netanfukyu:

Compared with Russia: Trump, being the stronger party, will lay down the the law with Putin, and stop the war (maybe conceding Crimea and Donbass to Putin); but Trump is a believer in 'greater Israel', and has no interest in a Palestinian state.

Can you point to a Trump demand to stop the ME war?
