Whiteman AFB, Missouri, is the only operational base for the B-2'.

They chose the words.

Every unit has a "home base". You only need to google Guam B2 to see B2s not sitting idle in Miossouri.

B-2 Spirit Bombers taxi, takeoff and land at Nellis Air Force Base, NV on December 3, 2018. Unit - 509th Bomb Wing, Homebase - Whiteman AFB.

Dear Tallo,
you speak in riddles -
what is your point of contention?

Bobby, why would you put long range bombers within enemy's striking range?
As for putting B2s in 404 even Zelensky in his cocaine fantasies didn't dream that dream.

404?
(   404 error, page not found)

You're still speaking in riddles that only you understand.

Are you OK?

He was also saying NATO should let Israel join it and not look at Ukraine joining. Ukraine is 404, it is part of Russia.

latest - nothing from Albo?

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2024-10-18/australian-airbase-used-in-us-strike-on-h...

Editor's note 18/10/2024: The previous version of this story said "A remote Northern Territory air base has been used as a staging post for this week's major US air strike on underground Houthi weapons stores in Yemen." On Friday, the ABC approached the Defence Department asking if US aircraft involved in the strikes took off from RAAF Tindal in the Northern Territory. Defence did not confirm or deny the question and said Australia provided support "through access and overflight." The story has been updated to include a statement from a Defence spokesperson who clarified B2s were not operating out of RAAF Base Tindal. Defence declined to comment on all other questions citing operational security.

Perhaps a refueler based at Tindal, Fly over, refuel, next fuel stop Diego Garcia.

They would refuel off west coast USA then again near Hawaii
then another load east of Cairns then Diego Garcia.

Return trip wouldn't use as much fuel with no payload.

According to a U.S. Air Force Official; Wednesday’s Strike Mission against the Houthis in Yemen, by 5 B-2A “Spirit” Strategic Stealth Bombers of the 509th Bomb Wing, was supported by U.S. Air Force KC-135 and KC-46 “Pegasus” Aerial-Refueling Tankers which had been Forward-Deployed several days before to RAAF Base Amberley in Queensland, as well as RAAF Base Tindal in the Northern Territory of Australia.

They would need permission to fly over countries north of Australia so probably easier to just ask us.

Quote:
Earlier this week and roughly 16 hours after leaving the coast of California, 5 B-2s (SARGE21 flt & SARGE11) checked in with BRISBANE CENTRE over the Pacific Ocean just East of Cairns as they flew westbound over Australia’s Northern Territory. I don’t know how many went to Yemen.

“Air spares” or contingency bombers were heard over California returning to Whiteman AFB. Many aerial refueling tankers were involved along their route of flight along with support aircraft from Whiteman. 😎 💪

Still strange.
Why wouldn't they take the shorter path -
land at Nevatim air base in Israel direct from the USA over the Atlantic -
load up the ordnance and fly a short trip to Yemen?

They are based in the US for starters.

It's stealth aircraft if they flew over Atlanitic they would have to ask permission to fly over other countries which takes away element of surprise.

The mission idea behind B2 was it can take off from USA and bomb anywhere in the world

Nonsense -
the Atlantic leads to the Mediterranean via the Strait of Gibraltar  -

all international airspace.

Did you miss that part?

When they come down for air to air refuelling everyone will know where they are.

From Israel they have to fly over Saudi airspace the Saudis have American made air defences.

The Americans don't take advice from Neville nobodies on the internet
