It is a provocation.

The University wants the Muslims to consent to being led by a University-appointed stooge.

The bastards were pushing their luck, as usual. Tellembuggerem.

Swinburne University said it made the decision to close the Multi Faith Centre after "multiple breaches" of the centre's guidelines occurred on Friday, October 11.

A sign printed on a white A4 paper explains that a university's multi faith centre has been closed on Fridays.
Students who wanted to pray on Friday instead found this sign outside the locked Multi Faith Centre. (ABC News: Najma Sambul)

A spokesperson for the university said the breaches included some members of the Swinburne Islamic Society refusing to allow the university-appointed Muslim chaplain to lead prayers, as well as "encouraging attendance from large numbers of people not associated with the university".

Friends of students, alumni and nearby residents sometimes attend prayers at the university because it is the closest prayer space.

Occasionally, including on October 11, they pray outside the Multi Faith Centre if they are not allowed in.

Video of the incident seen by the ABC shows the chaplain attempting to take a microphone from a student leading prayers.

After the student instead gave the microphone to a member of the Swinburne Islamic Society, the chaplain left.  The university then closed the Multi Faith Centre for the remainder of that day.

"Swinburne is investigating an incident on Friday 11 October involving multiple breaches of the Multi Faith Centre's guidelines, led by a small group of Swinburne Islamic Society members," the university spokesperson said.

"Some staff members who attended felt intimidated and threatened while trying to uphold the space's guidelines.

"In response to these breaches and a pattern of behaviour from this small group, Swinburne made the decision to close the centre on Fridays until the [Swinburne Islamic Society] meets with the university to discuss our concerns and commits to follow the guidelines that everyone else follows," they said.

The moslem [who is living in any secular nation] will insist, that,

But the truth.......

ISLAM is NOT peaceful.       ......unless you belong to 'OUR' sect of ISLAM,

Mosque violence Tensions boil over after move to replace imam
Paul Maley
A BITTER factional feud within Canberra's Islamic community has erupted into violence with a leading member being punched repeatedly in the grounds of the mosque at Yarralumla.

Secretary of the ACT Islamic Society Kurt Kennedy said he was set upon shortly after announcing the appointment of a new imam to replace the controversial Mohammed Swaiti.

He was assaulted while waiting on the mosque grounds for a lift home after announcing Mr Swaiti had been dumped and naming the new imam as Yahya Atay.

......"When our secretary Kurt Kennedy announced ... the new imam will deliver the [Friday speech] before prayer, two people jumped up and grabbed Kurt and pushed him around," he told the Canberra Sunday Times.

"They pushed him and wanted to throw him out of the mosque.

"Then the imam [Mr Swaiti] started screaming in the middle of the mosque,

'I am the imam of this mosque!

I am the imam who will service you people!

I will never step down!

No one can force me to step down!

I will be here until the day I die!

Outspoken moslem seeks police protection  [after he received threats from,
....moslems]

March 22, 2007
One of Australia's most important Muslim leaders has sought police protection after criticising controversial cleric Sheikh Taj al-Din al-Hilali.
Tom Zreika, president of the Lebanese Muslim Association - and Sheikh Hilali's employer - said he received non-stop phone threats yesterday after he released a document urging greater integration and for Muslims to "mend their ways".
The report, prepared for a national meeting of imams in Sydney this weekend, says some Muslims are "ruining it" for all and that Australians have "had enough" of Muslims.

The links are old, but these news articles are kosher.

.

ISLAM teaches the moslem,      every moslem,     that if someone does not belong their own ISLAMIC sect [i.e. the 'true ISLAM'],
it is lawful to kill them.

i.e.
It is lawful to kill anyone who opposes your ISLAMIC agenda, or who criticises your ISLAMIC agenda.

I notice none of the anger appears to be directed at the Muslims responsible for the breaches that lead to the closure, or the refusal of Muslim student leaders to meet with University officials. Only at non-Muslims.

I'd bet the breaches were caused by the Sunni / Shia schism, which no Muslim has the balls to discuss publicly with non-Muslims.

They seem to encourage the false belief that Islam is monolithic and that one can speak for all.

This false belief is useful to mask the Gaza/Palestine issue as only an Israel/Palestine thing without bringing up the inconvenient truth that Sunni regimes covertly support Israel in ending Gaza, particularly Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Jordan.

I guess they're easily triggered.

Two consecutive mass shootings took place in Christchurch, New Zealand, on 15 March 2019.

They were committed by a single perpetrator during Friday prayer, first at the Al Noor Mosque in Riccarton, overlooking Hagley Park, at 1:40 p.m., and second, after driving at speed across town, at the Linwood Islamic Centre at 1:52 p.m.

Altogether, 51 people were killed and 89 others were injured, including 40 by gunfire.
