We all saw the comments, she was being blatantly and deliberately racist. Why such an obvious conclusion required a court’s intervention for some to accept, or strangely continue to deny, is beyond comprehension.

What’s equally baffling is how people like her can make these comments with clear, malicious intent, targeting and victimising others based on race or similar attributes, yet, when confronted, they suddenly transform into the supposed victims.

Honestly…

It couldn’t happen to a more deserving group.

The rate of immigration, including Asian and Muslim immigration, has been way too high. It is ok to say that. Asian and Muslim are not taboo words.

Faruqi, from Pakistan,  was disrespectful of the sovereign she had sworn allegiance to, labelling her racist. Faruqi also labelled the polities of which the queen was sovereigng, including Australia where Faruqi is a Senator, as racist. "Piss off back to Pakistan if it's so racist here" - I second that riposte, like millions of others.

Remember, Sad and Mad, she was not told to piss off because she is from any particular place or of degree of tintedness. "Piss off back to Russia, Japan, South Africa, Egypt, Slovenia etc" would have been the correct response, too, if the innate duck had been from any of those countries.

Mehreen Faruqi@MehreenFaruqi

Condolences to those who knew the Queen.

I cannot mourn the leader of a racist empire built on stolen lives, land and wealth of colonised peoples.

We are reminded of the urgency of Treaty with First Nations, justice & reparations for British colonies & becoming a republic

Who is that 'we'? And why does Faruqi live in a country built on 'stolen lives, land and wealth of colonised peoples'? Why did she swear allegiance to such a racist leader of a racist empire? Why does she draw a salary from such stolen wealth! Why does she enjoy all the privileges of a Senator in such a racist country, built on stolen wealth?
Why doesn't she piss off somewhere OUTSIDE this racist empire? Like Pakistan?

You're entirely missing the point. If Pauline had an issue with that, and it does seem like a legitimate concern, why resort to racism?

This is a crucial lesson for you, Crap, and the other contributors to this cesspool.

You forfeit credibility the moment you embrace racism.

Any opportunity to highlight a legitimate grievance vanishes the instant you rely on racial slurs or discriminatory rhetoric. If you’re incapable of articulating your position without resorting to such base tactics, then the problem lies squarely with you.

Let’s be clear: those doing this are not a victim here, nor are they unjustly targeted. What they;re facing is not persecution but accountability, accountability for being a racist and unapologetically so.

These consequences are the direct result of your choices, just as Pauline now faces the repercussions of hers.

If you're not choosing but simply can't help it, then you're getting what you deserve, as she is.

Boohoo.

It is neither wacist nor Islamophobic, neithr discriminatory nor a slur to tell an activist ingrate and hypocrite from Pakistan to piss off back to Pakistan if she really thougt she was a Senator in a wacist country under a wacist leader of an empire built on stolen land, lives, wealth and from which she derives ALL her own wealth and privileges.
Piss off is the correct response. To Pakistan, Russian, Finland, Peru, South Africa, Egypt, Iran, China, whatever.

Here's the thing, Hanson uses this argument against an Australian citizen.

"It’s clear you’re not happy, so pack your bags and piss off back to Pakistan!"

Which infers that her prejudice is deemed by ethnic qualities rather than actual nationality.

Faruqi can’t serve in parliament without being an Australian citizen, and once you are an Australian citizen you have a right to be protected from discrimination and vilification based upon how you look, rather than what you actually are.

Which is a citizen with as much right to be in this country as Hanson.

It's the same thing Hanson did to Hinch.  She was racist to him too, it's just that nobody seemed to care because he's a white guy from New Zealand.  It was an odd defence for her to try and use,

"I've been racist before and nobody cared!"

It certainly didn't help her case.  So her comments were rightly judged to be racist.

Your problem, it seems, is that you’re upset about not being able to openly indulge in racism. It’s a grim little glimpse into the void where your soul should be, a sight no one needed, though it’s hardly shocking to see the ugliness laid bare.

There is no vilification or discrimination in telling a Pakistani to back to Pakistan if she is not happy with wacist, stolen land, ruined lives and illegit wealth Australia and its wacist, colonialist, Aboriginal-ruining empress. Especially if said Pakistani derives ALL her wealth, power, position and Senatorial privileges from her sworn allegiance to said wacist, thieving empress.

Your mothraesque, rhetorically overblown puffery of the last paragraph is comically stupid. Give us another one.

You're entitled to disagree, you're just wrong, and it would seem, a little butt hurt, that you'll need to find a more covert way to be racist in the real world.

Covert way to be wacist - stupid, cowardly Bbwianesque bs.

You STILL have not said how it is wacist to say to an unhappy ingrate  from Pakistan to piss off back to Pakistan.

Or Russia, SA, NZ, Finland, Peru, Japan, Fiji, China,  [the place you left voluntarily for Australia here].

I explained it in black and white, you just dismissed it, just like you and those like you always do, because it doesn't align with your beliefs and what you feel comfortable with accepting as real.

The problem is, the facts don't care about your feelings:

Hanson fixated on someone's appearance rather than recognising her as an Australian citizen representing her state, weaponising race to discriminate and vilify.

You see no issue with that, likely because you indulge in the same repugnant behaviour yourself. That would certainly explain your defensiveness and why this topic seems to have struck a nerve.

Hanson was exposed in court, undone by her own actions and sordid history.

Someone like you ought to be grateful for the anonymity this platform affords. If your "irl" persona were tied to your comments here, you'd be at far greater risk of being called to account than Hanson ever was.

That's a sad reality...

What is the appearance of a Pakistani? How is calling a Pakistani a Pakistani "weaponing race to discriminate"?

Piss off back to England, you Pommy bastards - is that being fixated on appearance and weaponising race to discriminate?

Technically, yes, just as she told Hinch to go back to NZ. The difference? It doesn't carry the same venom when it's aimed at someone who isn’t a minority, so the outrage fades into apathy. But let’s be clear: it’s still racist.

We see you. You’re clamouring for the freedom to hurl "go back to where you came from" at people who don’t look white, probably when you’re enraged and out of arguments, just like Hanson.

Let’s not mince words: that’s textbook racism.

Frankly, I don’t know how to reach someone so hell-bent on denial. You can choose to reject reality all you like, but your wilful ignorance doesn’t rewrite the truth for the rest of us.

I explained it in black and white, you just dismissed it, just like you and those like you always do, because it doesn't align with your beliefs and what you feel comfortable with accepting as real.

The problem is, the facts don't care about your feelings:

Here's the thing, Hanson uses this argument against an Australian citizen.

"It’s clear you’re not happy, so pack your bags and piss off back to Pakistan!"

Which infers that her prejudice is deemed by ethnic qualities rather than actual nationality.

Faruqi can’t serve in parliament without being an Australian citizen, and once you are an Australian citizen you have a right to be protected from discrimination and vilification based upon how you look, rather than what you actually are.

Which is a citizen with as much right to be in this country as Hanson.

Hanson fixated on someone's appearance rather than recognising her as an Australian citizen representing her state, weaponising race to discriminate and vilify.

Grin Grin

Ouch!

Frank is totally destroyed, once again.

True racist suspended from Parliament:-

https://www.msn.com/en-au/news/australia/senator-lidia-thorpe-suspended-from-par...

Senator Lidia Thorpe has been suspended from parliament for the rest of the year after a confrontation with Pauline Hanson on the Senate floor this morning.

Labor, Coalition and some crossbench senators voted to suspend Thorpe for what is in effect just one more sitting day after she appeared to throw papers during a heated debate in which Senator Fatima Payman accused Hanson of being a racist.

Penny Wong, the leader of the government in the Senate, moved the motion to have Thorpe suspended about 6pm. It passed with 46 votes to 11.

Wong said Thorpe was suspended over "inappropriate and sometimes abusive comments" made towards other senators.

Thorpe's suspension comes a week after she was censured for her protest against King Charles last month

Last week she said that motion wouldn't deter her from future protests. She was yet to comment on her suspension tonight.

Today's row began when Senator Fatima Payman accused Pauline Hanson of being racist before being forced to withdraw the remark

Payman's eligibility to sit in parliament had been repeatedly questioned by the One Nation leader.

Hanson tried to table her correspondence with the president of the Senate about Payman's dual citizenship, and whether she was allowed to sit in parliament.

Hanson said she would also move a motion to vote on whether the matter should be investigated by the standing committee of senators' interests.

"I will stand my ground on this issue," Hanson said.

"I will do this again and again and again. I will do it today, be prepared for it."

Payman labelled Hanson as racist but was forced to withdraw the comment.

She then quoted several of Hanson's remarks including one made during her maiden speech in which she said: "We are in danger of being swamped by Asians."

"If that is not racism, what is it?" a furious Payman said as she slammed her hand down.

"You're not just vindictive, mean, nasty. You bring disgrace to the human race.

"I kept on giving you the benefit of the doubt, Senator Hanson, despite your repetitive attempts to be racist to anyone who does not look like you."

Hanson requested the comments to be withdrawn while Thorpe yelled "You are a convicted racist" at her.

Thorpe appeared to throw papers towards Hanson and later stormed out of the Senate with her middle finger up at her colleagues.

Thorpe and the Greens sided with Payman to prevent the document from being tabled but Labor and the opposition voted it through.
