How do you stop people from being racist? It is part of our human survival instinct to identify with people of our own racial background.

Nobody is trying to stop him, he's just denying it and playing the victim.

He's not a victim.  He's chosen to act and day racist things, that's his choice.  Despite the tears, he's chosen this.

He is just someone who will defend the use of racial slurs, continually use them himself, and advocate for incredibly racist things.

If he's so proud of his behaviour to the point of defending it in himself and others, he should have the courage to admit what he is and stop having a sook when he's called out for his behaviour like a little bitch.

Frank, you've got to stop being racist if you don't want people to think you're racist.

You can call me anything you like, Sad, but the policing of speech is not something you will ever emote me into. I think being critical of or making fun of others is far more important than toeing some line by self-appointed sensitivity guardians. It is not wacist to give a piece of your mind to a Pakistani any more than it is to a Dane, Australian or Brit. I don't care for the 18c legislation, I think it is wrong and is evidently used by people to police political speed and opinion. So I don't care for the judgement made under that piece of thought and speech policing legislation, no matter how often it is waived around.

I think some cultures, customs and ethnic traits are worse than others, some belief systems are worse than others, some behaviours are worse than others, some individuals are worse than others. Trying to silence the discernment of such differences by reflexively shouting "wacist" is stupid, dishonest and therefore ineffective.

So....  Faruqi swore allegiance to be "faithful and bear true allegiance" to the head of the 'racist empire' but she continues to derive her salary, parliamentary position, privileges and wealth ENTIRELY from a was ii st country in a wacist empire under the monarch's sovereignty and all of which, to Faruqi's mind, has been 'built on stolen lives, land and wealth of colonised peoples'.

That she is Pakistani is relevant since she CHOSE Australia over Pakistan, she CHOSE to be a parliamentarian in a 'wacist country' and CHOSE to accept all its privileges and wealth which she said are derived from stolen land, lives, wealth. So I think a "**** off back to Pakistan, you hypocrite" would have been better suited to the situation.
I even think she perjured herself and broke her parliamentary oath.  As has Thorpe, by fudging, as she said, the pronouncing her parliamentary oath. And guess what? She isn't above  criticism and contempt just because she is half aboriginal, the stupid bint.

No one is preventing you from exercising your right to free speech. However, free speech does not exempt you from accountability when you choose to use racial slurs.

You are free to express your views, but if those views are racist, you must be prepared to take responsibility for them.

You are entirely within your rights to critique someone's actions. However, resorting to racial slurs as a vehicle for that criticism is not only unproductive but will inevitably invite significant backlash.

I hold a personal scepticism towards all religions, though I find many tenets of Islam to be particularly objectionable. These aspects are worth examining through intellectual discourse.

The situation between Pauline Hanson and Mehreen Faruqi, however, illustrates a different dynamic, one of clashing perspectives. Faruqi expressed her unwillingness to mourn Queen Elizabeth II, framing the British monarchy as emblematic of a racist empire built on stolen lives, land, and wealth. While her remarks, delivered so soon after the Queen’s death, may have been poorly timed, they were an accurate reflection of her sentiments and her lived experience.

Hanson, evidently triggered by Faruqi’s statement, responded with the predictable retort to "go back to your country," telling her to "piss off back to Pakistan." While Hanson exercised her right to free speech, she must also bear the consequences, both in terms of public backlash and, in this instance, under the scrutiny of the law.

If that was her intent, then she should have articulated it more thoughtfully. However, Hanson’s long history of vile racism and bigotry means she forfeits any benefit of the doubt in such situations.

When someone like her—or like you—says something racist, it isn’t a one-off misstep, it’s just another link in an unbroken chain of bigoted behaviour. That is who she is, and, by your own admission, who you are as well.

If you take issue with the fact that free speech comes with accountability, then perhaps it’s time for you to "piss off" back to wherever your ancestors originated, you hypocrite.

To repeat: it is NOT wacist, nor is it Islamophobic* to tell a Pakistani to piss off back to Pakistan. To characterise that as a wacist slur is stupid.

You also buy into the entirely false bilge about Faruqi's "accurate reflection of her sentiments and her lived experience". What a load of stupid hooey that is.

As I said repeatedly, Faruqi derives her wealth, privilege, platform ENTIRELY from a "wacist empire and wacist country built on stolen land, lives and wealth of colonised peoples"'. She is a bigger beneficiary of this "wacist country" than about 90% of the rest of the population. If she is really serious  about her "accurate reflection of her sentiments and her lived experiences", she should IMMEDIATELY stop being such a privileged beneficiary of a wacist place built or wacism and stolen wealth and piss/**** off somewhere else like Pakistan.

All Hanson did was hold Faruqi to account for mouthing off like a stupid bint on twatter. You are big on holding people to account. Telling a mouthy bint and ingrate hypocrite to **** off IS holding her to account, sharpishly.  Nothing wrong with it.

Section 18c is stupid and is exploited by thin skinned ingrates and hypocrites.

*Islamophobia is an even stupider label than the constant bleating about wacism. Only a moron uses the word seriously.

When did I ever complained or was a sook or a 'victim' because you or Bbwian or the grimacing son of Pakistan or creepy groggy or thicko as mince-o called me racist or told me to piss off to Denmark?

You are just mouthing off with automatic sloganeering like the rest of the miendless kids.

Oh - what is the 'incredibly racist thing' I advocated for? Remind us.

You're lamenting that you can't indulge in overt racism without facing consequences.

You're throwing a tantrum, posturing as the victim of your own deliberate actions and choices. That isn’t victimhood.

It’s accountability.

Dismissing a phrase like “piss off back to your country” as non-racist doesn’t erase its bigoted history. This sentiment is steeped in xenophobia, weaponised to demean and silence. You know this, and that’s precisely why you cling to it.

Nobody is stopping you from using such language, but you will face the repercussions, just as Hanson has. If accountability offends you, perhaps you’d feel more at home in a country that turns a blind eye to racially motivated abuse. Ironically, such a relocation might make you the outsider enduring the very disdain you so readily project.

I recall an encounter in Hawaii, chatting with a Texan couple on a snorkelling trip, just as COVID restrictions had lifted so we were one of the first international people there at the time and the only non-US people on the trip.

They ranted about my supposed “imprisonment” and urged me to “take up arms against my tyrannical government.” When I explained how Australians willingly handed in their guns after a mass shooting, prioritising collective safety, they unravelled.

Their indignation mirrored yours now: emotional, heated, and irrational. I remained calm, systematically dismantling their arguments with reason, which only heightened their frustration. Their final retort? A spiteful “Fu
ck
off back to the land down undah.”

It was laughable. The rest of the tour group turned on them, leaving them isolated for the ride back. As a white Australian, it was a revealing moment to experience what so many others endure.

The phrase is not just a cheap shot, it’s a weapon of racial hate deployed when logic fails. And yet, here you are, defending it, Frank.

That speaks volumes about you.
