It was much the same when Hillary lost. I was amazed at the public breakdown of the unstable loons.

I would have preferred Trump lost but that's life, get over it.

wow - really?

Trump has changed the Republican party to be the champions of the poor.

On the back of inflationary tariffs and tax cuts for the rich.

Cunning, no?

Yes.

I'm sure it'll be all fun and games until someone loses an eye gets his hands on nuclear launch codes again and starts World War 3.

Shocked

I suppose for some there is nothing that will make them feel better than a dose of looking down on someone. Undecided
I would have gone to Scarborough Beach, taken a dip and looked at girls.

Too much sex enfeebled the mind at your age. Reckon your starting to look like that Geoffrey Edelstein - thinning hair, losing teeth and looking like 30 years more than your age. Humping blow up toys is no loophole either.

It's the old Camry. Gotta be.

What is sad and missed by many of the people immediately coming down hard against you Sprint, is if you take what little policy position Trump announced and the remainder that's all a part of Project 2025, it boils down to this exactly.

Dismantling the federal government: Project 2025 seeks to reorient federal agencies toward conservative priorities, suggesting reductions or eliminations in departments like Education and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). This would shift significant authority from federal to state levels, potentially reducing protections and services many rely on.

Tax cuts benefiting the rich: Trump is already proposing further tax cuts to the rich and reductions to corporate taxes, all to be paid for by other countries via the implementation of his tariffs.  Note: He claims paid for by other countries, but it's paid for by US consumers.

Increasing inflation impacting the poor: If Trump goes ahead with his tariff plans, before subsidising and rebuilding local manufacturing, or even having to nationalise it, the people won't have a choice to buy local and will be forced to pay the inflated prices for tariffed goods.  This is projected to increase inflation and in tern interest rates to curtail the rise in inflation.

Housing affordability: Interest rate rises from the above will impact housing affordability and if the deregulation of federal agencies continues as planned by Project 2025, it will impact housing programs, making it harder for lower-income families to access affordable housing, especially if Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funding is cut as it is expected to be.

Erosion of voting rights: The project includes a section on “election integrity,” which critics say may lead to more restrictive voting laws, limiting access for many voters under the guise of preventing fraud.

Suppression of civil rights: The project promotes restrictions on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies, aiming to eliminate programs related to Critical Race Theory and gender identity. This shift could impact protections for minorities, women, and LGBTQ+ individuals.

Maternal health: Project 2025 includes efforts to restrict abortion rights and limit reproductive healthcare, which could indirectly impact maternal health outcomes by reducing access to comprehensive healthcare services.  We've seen this happen on a state level already.

Increase in welfare dependence: While the project advocates for cutting social services, it does not directly address family assistance programs. Reduced support might lead to greater poverty, which could increase welfare needs rather than decrease them, especially if unwanted or abnormal pregnancies are forced through to birth.

School shootings: They're republicans, guns are more important that children, and mental health spending as part of reductions to health spending overall (below) will result in more school shootings.

Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security: Although Project 2025 denies wanting to cut Social Security, the Heritage Foundation has proposed raising the retirement age to 70, which would delay benefits for millions of seniors. Similar changes may affect Medicare and Medicaid, potentially limiting access to these essential services.

Retirement age: Project 2025 supports raising the retirement age, reflecting a view that people should work longer before accessing benefits like Social Security.

Free press suppression: Project 2025 suggests eliminating federal funding for public broadcasting (PBS and NPR), which would reduce media independence and critical reporting, thereby narrowing press freedom.

Defunding public schools: Project 2025 proposes cutting federal involvement in education, aiming to defund the Department of Education and shift control to states, which could reduce resources for public schools.

Environmental degradation: Project 2025 aims to scale back environmental regulations, dismisses climate change research, and proposes breaking up the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), actions that would allow for increased pollution and reduced protections for air and water quality.

Deforestation and mining: By reducing environmental protections, Project 2025 would make it easier for industries to exploit natural lands for resources, threatening national parks and protected reserves.

Accelerated pollution emissions: The project’s focus on deregulating environmental policies and scaling back the EPA could increase industrial pollution and carbon emissions, exacerbating climate change.

Corruption: Project 2025 is designed to concentrate power within the executive branch, possibly facilitating a system where loyalty to the administration is prioritised over impartial governance, creating potential for increased corruption.

Legal system favouring the rich: The project outlines plans to “restructure” the Justice Department and appoint politically aligned officials to key positions, which critics argue could erode judicial impartiality and benefit wealthy or powerful individuals over the average citizen.

You might not agree with Sprint's points, but they reflect exactly what every Republican voter ultimately endorsed.

It’s all clear and straightforward, no conspiracy, no exaggeration, and I should know.

The issue isn’t with those who call attention to these realities; it’s with those who take issue with these points while choosing to ignore what Trump and the Republicans actually ran on.

This is the America you voted for. It’s too late to express regret now.

Setana is right. There is nothing 'special' about Trump. All he did is run for president on behalf of 65,000 requests and his style was just the Keep it simple stupid principle.

What made him special was the Democrats AND the Media's lack of reading the Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy that says, when dealing with guys like Trump...is to Not Panic, because he is 'mostly harmless'.
Instead, they panicked and saw him as a threat.
So you could say that Trump flunked it unwittingly. The Democrats and Media basically hung themselves and simple stupid Trump just gave them what they wanted... Enough Rope.
