Why a second Trump term is worse/scarier
Nov 10th, 2024 at 7:11am

A second Trump term as President is going to be worse/scarier for one reason alone - he isn’t up for re-election in four years and so can do whatever he wants. He doesn’t have to worry about policies that will help with re-election. This is especially the case since it’s highly likely he will have control of the Senate and House in addition to the White House. His first term will look tame by comparison. It will be utter carnage that will take years if not decades to repair his damage.

And which of your previous prognostications about Biden, Harris or Trump turned out to be true?

What is your word for these constant doom and gloom predictions abot Trump that never materialise?

Glad to see your childish thrill in coming across new words. Did you clap?

This is a very interesting video.

This lady is very smart. Nails some important issues.

"Woke versus Unwoke".

"Overregulation".

"False reality".

"Unresponsive to your customer".

Some lessons for us in Australian politics.

This time, Trump will ensure there are no checks on his authority.

He’ll purge anyone not completely loyal, creating a regime where allegiance to him is valued over competence or experience.

Roles that once required expertise will instead demand unquestioning loyalty to Trump, from staffers to generals, pretty much any political appointee.

And not just those that exists today.  There is a push for his office to directly control the hiring across the board.

Anyone who hesitates will be ousted, replaced by sycophants with no regard for American principles.

It's loyalty to him, not to the USA.

Imagine the inner circle of the Soviet Union or North Korea, that’s the atmosphere he seeks. After all, he did once say he wanted “the kind of generals that Hitler had.”

Instead of DEI hires ensuring more minorities, they'll be PLT Hires, Personal Loyalty Test.

This is only of of the reasons that his term this time around will be worse than the last.

It doesn't help, even with the work Biden has been able to do in removing from COVID, Trump can't just coast and do nothing, there is actual work to be done.

It would have been nice if he had included some hints as to how he'd achieve his goals without simply saying "tariffs".

The unknown factor about what he'll do, that's another reason it will be worse.  He's already unpredictable when he's telling you what he'll do, it's only worse when he's not even doing that.

A win despite his criminal charges, his being found off having raped someone, his attempted insurrection, will enforce his belief that he is untouchable, above the law. That will only serve to make him even more corrupt than he already is.

Agree but one small check is the threat of losing both the house and senate in 2 years if he goes too far too soon. Likely he won't be able to help himself.

I have never seen an election responce like this, well I guess so much was in danger and so many have so much to lose. Peoples loved ones and family voted to screw they own family members.

I seen one brother who disowned his brother for voting Trump - He is dependant on Obama care to survive, His brother voted for him to not survive. He doesn't understand why this upset his possibly soon to be unalive brother ?

One Woman with 3 daughters is divorcing her Trump voter husband, and the 3 daughters have disowned him as well. He doesn't get it either.

There is a Gay guy who has uninvited family members from his home on Thanksgiving. They don't see why voting against his marriage upset him.

There were dozens of posts in the same terms. There were people who instantly dumped their boy friend girl friend, Disowned their sisters, brothers, Threw people out of their house.
There was a hispanic woman who voted Trump knowing that half her family would be deported. Guess how popular she is now in her family?

Has anyone previously seen an election outcome like this ?
