diabetes crash

Hypoglycemia low blood sugar caused the Daylesford car crash.
The driver knew he was low and was near death but kept driving. The court case was prosecuted wrongly and he was not convicted.
But if it's known that it causes crashes, it's like an unlicensed driver who shouldn't be on the road, as with defective vehicles.

As a person who has suffered hypoglycemia, if I don't eat after 6 hours, I could go into a type of shock. I have starved myself for 16 hours to a point where I could have been hospitalised.

On one occasion, I had to drive home with symptoms of hypoglycemia. Once home, the microwave could not cook that pasta fast enough; the juice could not be digested quickly enough for my liking. The only legal issue I had to face if I crashed my car from a hypoglycemia attack would be if I took some precautions about my conditions before I started to drive home.

This is as
irresponsible and DANGEROUS
as continuing to drive on knowing you are way too drunk to be behind the wheel of a potentially LETHAL vehicle

I'm an insulin dependent, type 2 diabetic - myself - and I know that such

a hypo that causes a sudden, total black-out doesn't come without warning signs.

The throwing out of this case by a magistrate before a word was spoken by ANYONE - has caused OUTRAGE among my fellow Daylesford citizens, particularly among outpatients at our local Diabetes Clinic.

Just in the past week, I've seen TWO cases of fatalies where a vehicle has mounted the kerb and gone through a fence - trying to get off with a "medical defence"

The driver of a car that ploughed into a primary school, killing an 11-year-old boy and seriously injuring four other children, has been released from police custody.

The 40-year-old Hawthorn East woman was arrested after the tragic crash in Melbourne’s east at Auburn South Primary School on Tuesday afternoon.

Police are investigating whether the woman had a medical episode when she veered her car off Burgess Street while doing a U-turn. The Toyota SUV crashed into an outdoor table where five children were sitting at recess.

Nothing, until I crashed from falling asleep at the wheel. Nearly been there a few times. That is why I sleep in cars.

However many years have passed since the day I was run into by a speeding car. If it was not for my quick thinking, there would have been a situation where both my legs would have been broken. The role of crash test dummy was taken by my relative some years ago.
