The Pot smoking sure has taken its toll on Tyson. That debilitating hesitation of body movements is a trademark sign and scarring of dedicated use of Pot. George Foreman never had it, nor many other boxers who still recreationally box well into their 80's. Sure, they're much slower and weaker, but they still have that Fluid movement that boxing attains for them. Tysons mind and body were totally disconnected.
To me, not only was this fight just a money making scam. It showed the dangers of boxing when you allow mentally ill people like Tyson into the Ring for a professional reason. Kudos for Jake Paul. You could see his reluctance to satisfy his trainer's desire to knock Tyson out (easy) and taking advantage of the situation. JPaul sensibly carried the fight, even though it made him look ineffective against such a debilitated opponent.
I think the crowd were stunned alright. Tyson should not have been allowed to fight. Sure, he did it for fame and money. Sure JPaul did it for the same, let alone the honour to fight a legend.
But seriously! Mike Tyson doesn't have it anymore and it's not due to his age. He literally looked like Ali in his later years, mentally.
Don't do pot kids.
Sad to see and JPaul showed compassion mixed with embarrassment.
True but I was kinda hoping that it would be like those Kung Fu movies - you know -
the old Kung Fu or Shaolin master is walking along with his walking stick looking very frail
and when 6 or more bandits try to rob him and beat him up -
he all of sudden jumps up high and goes flying through the air - like an acrobat -
as he attacks them and beats all of them leaving them in a pool of blood -
then keeps walking with his walking stick as though nothing had happened.
