Firstborn turned 18 today.

Can anyone guess what she's busting to do legally for the first time today?

She's the last of her friend group to turn 18 so she's been pretty pissed off she hasn't been able to go out with her mates, but drinking/pubs isn't what she's actually excited about.

She's wired up a little differently to most kids her age, she's excited about being able to open an account and trade equities.  Grin

Oh but of course! Being able to sign legal documents.
And interesting topic regarding ASX and the youth of today, since it’s beyond their affordability to invest in real estate, there’s a huge movement where they are investing in shares instead.
I have a feeling there will be a huge rise in share prices so your daughter did well to decide to get on board with her own account.

She's been trading with her money in an account I opened under my name for about a year and has made 15% YTD and holds about $25k. I transfered all the shares to her account today.

Biotechs are certainly a good investment area, she also loves chemistry so prob an area she would be good at researching.

I had to wait 10 years to legally buy myself an alcoholic drink and get drunk. After spending $30 on 6 cans of Rum & Colas, I thought I should just buy a bottle of rum and chill some cola from the nearby bottle shop. Turned out to be cheaper.

I should have listened to my Social Studies teacher on the refined arts of buying alcohol.

Do they still do burn out competitions down on the Gold Coast? The ones up here are kind of unauthorised. Except for RockyNats.

...even then, you would be taking your chances watching or participating.
