Queensland Labor still letting families down

This is a disgrace. It perfectly illustrates just how pathetic the previous QLD Labor government was on law and order. The new law - called Sophie's Law - was supposed to punish drivers causing grievous bodily harm to a pregnant person or destroying the life of an unborn child. What did this teenager get for killing an unborn baby and nearly killing the mother? A six month suspended driving sentence and 100 hours of community service. What a farce. It's not even a joke because jokes are funny. This abysmal. This is the "punishment" for looking at a phone while driving and causing a head-on crash. I hope the prosecutors file an appeal due to the sentence handed down being manifestly inadequate, as it falls well short of what most decent people would expect from such an incident. I also don't agree with not naming the teenage driver "for legal reasons".

This crime should've been punished with a sentence of at least five years in prison as an absolute minimum.

Just watching on ACA - the doctor crisis in Farcanque - Mt Isa doctor shortage and lack of staff and facilities....  sounds like another good argument for getting rid of the central city government in Queenslund... by splitting this overly cumbersome state into a dozen or so states.... including The Homeland   ...

Where's the long drawling man in the white hat?

I offered the Homeland
I offered the Park
I offered the sovereignty
To the people who MOVE .... there...
