When will she start representing all Victorians, not only those with aboriginal heritage?
Um, never.
I think she said that, didn't she?
That alone should disqualify her from sitting in the Senate.
This is precisely why she opposed the Voice to Parliament, it threatened to render her self-appointed role as a spokesperson for Indigenous issues irrelevant.
It’s also why the Liberals cynically propped her up, using her as a convenient shield until her utility ran out. Once discarded, she’s been left floundering, making missteps and scrambling for relevance. Now, her attention-seeking antics resemble nothing more than a bid to clock off early for Christmas.
This mirrors the behaviour of many in the No campaign here. They lionised her, elevating her as proof they weren’t racist for opposing the Voice. But once the referendum was over, and she had the audacity to advocate for policies benefiting Indigenous Australians, they turned on her with fury.
And today, the same predictable figures are leading the charge, proving once again that their solidarity was never more than opportunistic posturing.
