That Professor obviously forgets to mention that Sweden still had been infected, as a nation, with the Virus. People did die.
While Australia, while under strict national lockdown had ZERO Infections and domestically, Australians were FREE to go about the usual outdoors stuff State-wise, which also allowed an innovative boom of Domestic Economy which allowed Australia to be the #1 Economy in the world.
It was only when the Virus was ALLOWED in, did things go crap here.
So in essence, the first phase of Lockdown succeeds.
Letting the virus in, compromises the effect of Lockdowns into a more drastic effect.
If Sweden had done what Australia initially did. They wouldn't have had anyone die at all.

"Great Barrington Declaration" again.  Roll Eyes

OK, let's go...

And I still don't know why Baron has posted that "Case Fatality Risk" chart from 3 years ago (again)?

Perhaps you should read what the GBD actually says instead of what neville nobodies on X claim it said.

You could even read what Jay and other experts post in his X account- https://x.com/DrJBhattacharya

Quote:
The Great Barrington Declaration

Read it here- https://gbdeclaration.org/#read

Authors-

Dr. Martin Kulldorff, professor of medicine at Harvard University, a biostatistician, and epidemiologist with expertise in detecting and monitoring infectious disease outbreaks and vaccine safety evaluations.

Dr. Sunetra Gupta, professor at Oxford University, an epidemiologist with expertise in immunology, vaccine development, and mathematical modeling of infectious diseases.

Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, professor at Stanford University Medical School, a physician, epidemiologist, health economist, and public health policy expert focusing on infectious diseases and vulnerable populations.

Does Carl know what an Epidemiologist is?

The GBD said - We know that vulnerability to death from COVID-19 is more than a thousand-fold higher in the old and infirm than the young. Indeed, for children, COVID-19 is less dangerous than many other harms, including influenza

As for focused protection it's the politicians job to say what is allowed these epidemiologists only advise governments.

Gladys in NSW made first opening hour with Coles and Woolies for pensioners this is a good example.

Cuomo in New York moved Covid patients into nursing homes a deadly failure.

Our Case Fatality Rate data before vaccines up to Delta variant shows the GBD were 100% right the healthy young aren't at risk the old boomers like you are bedwetters at the thought of covid

Leftists and the Ayatollahs have a lot in common when it comes to criticism of Islam, they don't tolerate it.

Jay Bhattacharya

Jay Bhattacharya - COVID-19 pandemic

Another one who was pushing the failed herd/hybrid immunity BS (which they should have known - and probably did know - was impossible to achieve with a rapidly and constantly mutating SARS Coronavirus and a "vaccines only" strategy).

He should fit in well with Trump's upcoming 'House of Horrors' (especially RFK Jr.).
