The alteration of the past is necessary for two reasons, one of which is subsidiary and, so to speak, precautionary. You got it. I've said for years that they look at this site for Vox Populi - The Real Voice .... some of the very phrases used here have appeared in mainstream media and in political statements.... could be coincidence.

The genuine 'conservatives' here - the constant critics - are the most likely agents provocateurs ..... think on it..... they take the side of 'city hall new' ... they never suffer a change of view under pressure of realities ..... they constantly antagonise others ... some are amazing - they work shifts so you can actually see the shift in the tectonic writing style at shift change sometimes ... and they can go on all night and day sometimes..... one such here was accused by a former contributor of being totally manic and on a three-day high.... day and night.........
