Australia sending troops to Ukraine?

Nah.

But be good.

Not a huge number of troops but the SAS and their Ukrainian opposite numbers could raise holy hell in ruzzian rear echelons.

The various regiments we can send with modern, new weapons like jet fighters and bombers, tanks/AFVs could get the pigs wishing they were in their home sty!

UK/France/Germany are shamed into sending troops, say 200K with modern weapons. Norway/Denmark close the exit of the Baltic sea to ruzzian ships.

Don’t expect the idiot to understand. . .

BUT

Could Australia acting unilaterally generate momentum to sending regular troops into Ukraine?

US has dipped a toe into the water: sending civil contractors to maintain/repair some gear, freeing up some Ukrainians to fight in the front lines.

Would like us to be the trendetter.

Why not discuss as if that is a possible reality, see what might flow from that?

Aussie troops (barring SAS) could man Patriot missile batteries etc.

Just discuss as if . . .

I think so. The positive example set, the high quality of Australian troops—first to stop the Jap Army and those were only “Sunday Soldiers!”

Even more than that the example set!

NZ/UK and who else? The RN in the Black Sea? No more problems with Ukraine exporting its vital wheat.
